back after a long hiatus (i been trying to make music the whole time, just couldn't). first track made in ableton after years of fl! once again, not happy with the mix/master (which has caused some horrible artifacting upon uploading), but after countless hours spent tweaking the snare volume by 0.5db, i decided to just call it good enough. maybe i'll start consistently finishing tracks again, or maybe it'll be another year before i release something else! who knows!

Rhys Manning has been a regular fixture on the Street Tracks label these last couple of years via releases and remixes (most notably his mixes of Basement Jaxx’s ‘Yo Yo’). The West Country based producer delivers the goods once more on the ‘Ey Ey’ single.

Luscious melodies and deep electronic tones flow across the two tracks on Manning’s latest release. The shuffling breaks, portamento synth riffs and reverb-soaked vocals of ‘Ey Ey’ initiate an ethereal atmosphere across this modern electronica track, whilst ‘Torn’ deploys subby bass tones and floating melodies over a sturdy rhythm track for another meticulous leftfield house cut.
