Hello dear Listeners,

Let me introduce you to my dear friend and Improvisation student ilio bertolami . And while he freely admits to be somewhat of a beginner insofar as guitaring is concerned, he's a master of many other things, and I love how he Listens and engages with the music as it emerges.   😊

This wistful improv was recorded on December 30th 2024 at my place on Saturna Island, and i love it. He's playing his acoustic classical guitar and I'm on my Kawai ES7 Stage Piano, and thankfully, we had our ZOOM Stereo Mic recording the event. ;) 

The lyrical tune that came forth is full of heart 'n soul, even if it is a little rough around the edges. But it's lilting melodies and the story it seems to tell is already one of our favorites, and we're both amazed that it even 'happened'. 

Hopefully it will eventually be arranged and feature a soulful vocalist.
