Part of btf x rx​:​tx compilation, which was created in a collaboration between two promoters of “all things beats”: Beat the Future, a show on Radio808 & a club night from Zagreb, and rx:tx, a label from Ljubljana. It's beats, it's bass, it's bleeps in the broadest sense and it is primarily a showcase of local production, mostly by young and relatively unknown artists from the region. After the successful solo debut «Orb» – the limed vinyl was sold out after only a short time – Meister Lampe once again packed this beatmaker equipment in his suitcase in the summer of ’18 and set off again. On his route he picked samples and typical sound images from all around the globe, cutted, pitched or changed them and composed his own musical collages. Sometimes with juicy drums and percussion and sometimes with quieter tones.
«Orb II» is an instrumental album with clear hip-hop influences, mixed across the musical genres and influences of the individual countries. This time Meister Lampe travels musically to India, Grenada, Brazil and then make a detour to Benin and Cape Verde.
In the end there is much more than just a travelogue to get discovered: it is a record with a great suspense, one or two long-term classics and a lot of love in detail.“
