This father - son duo has one goal when they play: to make beautiful music. Their sound is constantly expanding - so be on the lookout for new and interesting music.

Making music is especially sweet for these two. Gene put his musical dreams to the side as he raised a family and lovingly took care of his wife until her passing. Michael is once again making music using a MIDI keyboard and a Mac. He has muscular dystrophy and lost the ability to play guitar about 10 years ago.

The opportunity to make this music together is truly a gift from God.

>> drei << nennt sich das Würzburger Jazz-Studenten Ensemble, bestehend aus Isabelle Pabst (voc), Michael Reiß (g) und Sevi Krieger (p, synth). Mit dem Wunsch die Kluft zwischen gelebtem Jazz und geliebter Musik anderer Genres zu verbinden, schlossen sich die drei Mitglieder des bayerischen Landes-Jugendjazzorchesters zu einer ungewöhnlichen Formation zusammen. Die Besetzung fordert kreative Kompositionsweisen und öffnet Spielraum für allerlei Experimente.

Das Repertoire setzt sich zusammen aus Jazz-Standards, Singer/Songwriter Liedern, sowie manch ungewöhnlicher Bearbeitung bekannter Reaggae und HipHop Songs. Der persönliche Bezug zur Musik steht dabei im Vordergrund, ebenso wie die hochwertige musikalische Darbietung. Musik kann nur berühren, wenn sie von Herzen kommt. Und dabei dürfen/müssen alle Wurzeln außerhalb des Jazz aktiviert werden.
