Pop Tops (or Los Pop-Tops) were a vocal/instrumental band, formed in 1967 in Madrid, Spain, with Phil Trim from Trinidad and Tobago as lead singer.

"Mamy Blue" is a 1970 song written by French songwriter Hubert Giraud. Originally written with French lyrics, the song was rendered in English in 1971 to become an international hit for the Pop-Tops.

Referring to a son's poignant song addressed to his departed mother about his childhood memories and life in general, sometimes spelled "Mommy Blue", "Mammy Blue" or "Mummy Blue", was a Top 10 hit throughout much of Europe, like Top 1 in countries like Germany and Switzerland.

About this edit :
In the mid 90s when I was 16 years old, a home tape recorded with music by Wu Tang Clan came into my life, from that moment on this sound with breaks, soul, jazz, funk, hiphop revolutionized my way of appreciating music.
Today, thanks to slow sounds, I find the opportunity to integrate and share this tribute to what has been the music of the future.

About this edit :
The song demonizes superstition in the truest sense of the word 😂... I personally just like the message that you shouldn't look back or too much into the future... especially when you're rocking out at a party, then these moments are magical and somehow infinite. This and the catchy riffs and chords then tempted me to push the song a little bit towards the dance floor with a gently modified arrangement.

Formed in London, England in October 1966 by ex-Animals bassist Chas Chandler, The Experience were active for just under three years, a run which resulted in three successful studio albums and four top 10 singles. "Voodoo Chile" released as 7" single back in 1970 by TRACK RECORDS in UK. A monsterous Blues/Psychedelic Rock classic with great power and energy. ORKIDZ pays his respect to Jimi and transforms the original into a great energetic Bluesy Downtempo/Organic heaven!
