Vodoom: I was on vacation on the country side, we had a great fire camp and I visualize a lot of things, I always keep my oriental touch in my tracks, especially in the end where sounds like I became legion and we sang together in perfect unison. Its features filled her mind, and its evening inhabitants were live voices inhabiting her ears — like this waiter who never stopped talking, the person with the hoarse voice who commented on the events of the day without getting tired or annoyed, the man with the nervous voice trying his luck at cards with the seven of diamonds and the jack, and the father of Haniya —the little girl with whooping cough — who night after night would reply when asked about her, "Our Lord will be able to cure her." Oh . . . the balcony seemed to be her special corner of the coffeehouse. Memories of the street paraded before her imagination while her eyes remained fixed on the man's head, which was leaning against the back of the sofa.  Akuba left his Eastern home and ran south of the border. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks will bring light into darkness. DIBIDABO, Noble Spirits, Renzo Zong & Ricardo Zavaleta, Rodrigo Gallardo are travelers remain in the beauty of light.

On the one side there is the Zindagi, a Hindustani word of Persian origin which means ‘life’. For Buddhist people this is the endless cycle of personal reincarnations, each characterised by individual choices resulting in joy and suffering. According to that ancient culture, each choice we make marks the path to the next reincarnation. On the other hand there is the Nirvana, which is the freedom from that endless cycle, the extinction of individual passion, hatred, and delusion: finding the peace of soul and rejecting the concept of self.
The delicate equilibrium between selfness and its rejection was the inspiring force for @katabtu to produce his ethereal EP. This comprises two original tracks titled Nirvana and Zindagi, accompanied
by three powerful remixes by @danbaymusic, @ackssek, and @jati_div.
Katabtu is part of a music collective named ‘@kollektiv-liebe’, whose purpose is raising funds for social projects by means of musical events and releases. Such a valuable and selfless decision taken by the collective resonate with the theme of the Nirvana EP, and to the importance of individual choices. Just like they affect the cycle of reincarnations in the Buddhist culture, daily individual choices affect our immediate future, and the future of our societies. A chain of hardly predictable events is activated every moment. Thus, every moment we live and act altruistically, we have the chance to care about others, about nature, about the world we live in. Mind small choices, tame the
self. Doing so, Zindagi and Nirvana may meet in the quotidianity.

Yemoja is a major water spirit from the Yoruba religion. She is an orisha, in this case patron spirit of the oceans and/or rivers - particularly the Ogun River in Nigeria. She is often syncretized with either Our Lady of Regla in the Afro-Cuban diaspora or various other Virgin Mary figures of the Catholic Church, a practice that emerged during the era of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. Yemoja is motherly and strongly protective, and cares deeply for all her children, comforting them and cleansing them of sorrow. She is said to be able to cure infertility in women, and cowrie shells represent her wealth. She does not easily lose her temper, but when angered she can be quite destructive and violent, as the flood waters of turbulent rivers. Yemoja is often depicted as a mermaid, and is associated with the moon (in some Diaspora communities), water, and feminine mysteries. She is the protector of women. She governs everything pertaining to women; particularly the birth and bearing of children - childbirth, conception, parenting, child safety, love, and healing. According to myth, when her waters broke, it caused a great flood creating rivers and streams and the first mortal humans were created from her womb. AMUAMU, CLAUDIO ARDITTI and DA IGUANA are paying their respects to Yemoja with five amazing original and unreleased tracks. For the love of water!
