About the EP-*
Since the beginning of time, there have been "Others" - humans endowed with supernatural abilities - and for just as long, the Others have been divided between the forces of Light and Dark. In Medieval times, the armies of both sides met by chance, and a great battle began. 
Each side commissioned a quasi-police force to ensure it was kept; the Light side's force was called the Night Watch and the Dark side's force was called the Day Watch.

We’ve known him since his very first works, and not only do we love each one, but we’ve always found his music to be deeply original and full of soul.
(And yes, we have to say it: Kevin is also a motorbike champion in Mexico and we think that’s absolutely amazing)

Drawing inspiration from ancient Mayan cultures and their sounds, Niño Amarillo delivers a powerful, unique creation, a track we love deeply and are thrilled to now share with the world.

Arutani - Craft Coven

Today we share with you an old yet special project for us. Similar to our love for humans like Gil Scot Heron, Jimmi Hendrix and folk heroes from our home country of Iran in our music, Chavela Vargas has always been another source of genius for us. Celebrated for her 'rough voice of tenderness' and her haunting performances, she was (is) a true powerhouse of a woman. In one of her songs she says (translated):

'I'm not from here, nor from there
I have no age, nor future
and being happy is the color
of my identity'
.
Her words are visceral. Given our hyphenated backgrounds with Eastern roots coupled with a Western upbringing her words became our medicine. Given this, we had to make our interpretation of her song which we've played live and in our online sets. Today is the day we share this project with you.

I'd like to thank all 48 artists for supporting me helping the cause of this fundraiser in support to the 60 children from @FundaciónRenacimientoaAIP, which are facing social abandonment in Mexico City’s Tepito neighborhood.

Mexico is currently in phase 3 of its emergency plan against the novel coronavirus, coinciding with the worst period of the epidemic. The social distress has challenged the Mexican economy, shrinking significantly over the past months, hitting the most vulnerable citizens living in extreme poverty the most.

This is a NON PROFIT charity cause. 100% of the revenue will be transferred from Bandcamp directly to Fundación Renacimiento’s Paypal account

The third single „Nails“ from the upcoming debut album „1“ by AGGREGAT goes in directions of dark four-to-the-floor techno. In contrast to that the three musicians built in a free-jazz-metal-thrash-impro-part (not includes in the single edit), then coming back to the strongly punching Big Beat by the drums, where the cello flickers and slices above the bass synths funky groove.
The remix by the Viennese duo OBERST & BUCHNER pulls „Nails“ into their typical style of massive elements masterfully set against a shimmering backdrop of incredibly detailed layers.

With @daniel-imhof's Pale Blue Dot we have reached the final track of A World Within Our World - the downtempo compilation by Caldrew.

We are living in the slow music microcosm that grows in sync with our heartbeat. We are developing this new world together, individually, as persons and artists alike. Our movement is the symbol of a new humankind that puts love and friendship before all else. We are soul ravers who call for a new way of relating to all living creatures on our shared planet. Raising our voice from within a community with a higher consciousness and awareness of the principles that unite us in love.

Amselcom feels at home in this new world and we are trying to see the humans behind the consumers of the music we release. The world within our world is open and borderless because we are led by emotion and instinct. This Utopia is leaving the oppression of religion and politics behind. Instead we are gathering to experience ourself in ways that align closer with the idea of a new humanity.
