Sunset Wings was founded in Königsberg in 2006. The band concentrates on studio work and at the moment have five full lenght albums. Sunset Wings play acoustic music using the widest possible range of instruments: from guitars, violin, cello, flutes and fifes to accordion, bandura, glockenspiel and the sonorous gamut of bells. Tiny music machines, small handheld carillons, field recordings are useful and create a peculiar atmosphere. Regarding their oeuvre, the band tries to carry a beauty, serenity and harmony through the sounds, bright and sometimes melancholic melodies, to create a musical setting for the ravishing poetry pearls of bygone ages as well as for some lyrics by their own.
