A true classic named after the club that first debuted it, Spiller’s ‘Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)’ featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor has earned itself the ‘timeless’ title in more ways than one. Originally released in 2000 and acquired by @DefectedRecords over two decades later, the chart-topping anthem has had a magnificent revival following Purple Disco Machine & Lorenz Rhode’s rework along with Italian club don Riva Starr’s storming remix package. With @Glitterboxibiza now taking the reins, they’ve placed the record in the safe hands of funk synthesist @Harvey-Sutherland, ensuring the track is elevated even further. Under his nom de plume Mike Katz began to make international waves from the twenty-teens with a series of 12” releases and hails from Australia’s bubbling electronic underground scene.  We are still playing Berny’s ‘Argonaut’, which appeared several months ago on Suntree Records, but now Berny (IT) delivers a great remix with an obvious wink to the 80’s. One could say that he created a ‘Late Night-DISCO-Flight’, having a guitar-riff that remains contagious till the end. Subtle drums give his remix a steady groove, accompanied by atmospheric fx on the background.

Bounce House label boss DK Watts (US) returns to Suntree Records with his underground house-take on ‘Late Night Flight’, after remixing ‘Lack of Oxygen’. Very slick use of the effects on King Dread James’ vocals and a signature DK Watts bass-line; this remix will appeal to the real night-freaks out there. The obscure lead surrounds DK’s remix with a dark atmosphere, while the drums provide the classic four-to-the-floor groove.

Afro-deep-house representative Pascal Moraïs (NL, Amsterdam) has a big dedication to Afrobeats. He runs Arrecha Records, one of Holland’s few labels that dives into this genre. Pascal joins Suntree Records by contributing an excellent remix on ‘Late Night Flight’. While keeping the piano elements from the original, Pascal built a classic Afro house beat, and also added beautiful layers of low-key horns, spiritual beds and strings. The driving bass keeps the solid flow of Pascal’s remix, as fx around the claps and shakers create a spacious vibe. Pascal truly brings Afro-deep house to another level, and we are very delighted that he made such a great signature remix for us!

Suntree Records gets you ready for spring 2012 with the release of ‘ Into Your Heart’, brought to you by Suntree’s front man Oded Nir, with Gia Mellish featured on vocals. Oded Nir just released remixes by Stimulated Soul, Tokyo Red Recordings and Bounce House while his own work, was remixed by many established producers including The Timewriter, JT Donaldson and Johnstar. Talented Gia Mellish delivers her sweet vocals on ‘Into Your Heart’ and scored the hit ‘Hypnotized’ with Sebastien Leger, and was further featured on Hed Kandi with the track ‘Love Potion.’ 
Remixes are done by mister ‘Living-soulful-house-legend’ Richard Earnshaw, who’s releases are found back on massive labels such as Defected, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi and well-known compilations such as Pacha, MN2S, Stereo Sushi and Bargrooves. We also have the globally supported Dutchican Soul on board, who had releases on many great labels such as OM Records, Soulfuric, Salted Music and Strictly Rhythm.
