I began making music as Selles in 2013 as a transition, moving away from guitar oriented music and into electronics and synths. This also acted as a way for me to process graduating from college and adjusting to a new life. Five years later, I feel that Selles has served its transitory purpose, and it is time to start something new. I am stoked to finally be able to share with you my new project, Sunwarper! 

“Nightfall” is the first single and a great representation of what is to come from the project. Warped synths meet heavily treated guitars and vocal samples to create new landscapes for the mind to explore. A new EP, The Emerald Trail is coming out October 26!

Sunwarper & Cpektir - Kepler

Sunwarper is a Los Angeles based project creating warped, atmospheric electronic music.  Following several releases under the moniker Selles, Michael Jakucs brings a new emphasis on live instruments and sampling under the new name.  Field recordings and a keen attention to sonic detail create an audible palette which Jakucs uses to craft nostalgia dripped tunes.  Songs drift into times since passed, as wistful synths give way to dusty beats.
