Jamais ils ne s’essoufflent ;
D’une harmonie si souple
Que rien ne les étouffe. 

Et, quand se désaccorde la douce mélodie,
Pouvoir lâcher la corde sans nulle contrepartie ; 
Quand la coupe déborde pour de petits soucis,
Savoir mettre en point d’orgue mille-une facéties.

2020 was a difficult year, but there were still some moments of beauty to be found. I am so grateful to have found a supportive ambient community to be a part of, and to have made and worked with some incredibly talented friends. With that in mind, I am happy to announce my final release of 2020. Moonwashed is an evening coastal gaze, filled with ocean noises, dusty beats and a contemplative, warped piano.
Thank you for all of your support this year, it means the world to me and I can’t wait to share what’s next in 2021.

Sunwarper - Moonwashed

Sunwarper is a Los Angeles based project creating warped, atmospheric electronic music.  Following several releases under the moniker Selles, Michael Jakucs brings a new emphasis on live instruments and sampling under the new name.  Field recordings and a keen attention to sonic detail create an audible palette which Jakucs uses to craft nostalgia dripped tunes.  Songs drift into times since passed, as wistful synths give way to dusty beats.
