Tipped to us by previous mix contributor, Unai Trotti, Vass shows us exactly why he is a regular feature and close affiliate at accomplished London-based parties such as Cartulis and Art Of Dark. Recorded at one of his gigs this summer at Bánkitó, a beautiful lakeside festival in Hungary, he takes us on a tour de force of his impeccable record bag, covering heady dance floor trips, acid-tinged goodies and spaced-out wobblers. Next up is Amsterdam based artist Caim. The Dutch native has been making waves with both his characterful DJ sets and elegant productions. Resident at Amsterdams infamous Breakfast Club and label boss at Lonely Planets Rec, he's becoming a large figure in the Dutch underground. 

For this mix, he's dug a little deeper into his bag and provided us with just over 2 hours of craftily woven prog, techno and trance tribalings. Enjoy the ride!

Not only is @theokottis joining our podcast series this week, but early next month he will join the label family too. His new Lighthouse EP is a perfect encapsulation of the Scotsman's style - house, techno and electro fusions with a knowing nod to the 90s and plenty of both physical and emotional impact. It's his first work since a "self-imposed creative reset" and comes after previous outings on the likes of Permanent Vacation and DGTL that have established the Space Dust label and party founder as someone who is as effective as he is unpretentious whether making or playing records.

His mix for us is inspired by recent gigs and is made up of tracks that were particularly well-received by the crowds. It's two hours of slick selections cross the house, techno and electro spectrum so, says Theo, "there's something for everyone to dance their way into 2024." And he's not wrong: this is exactly the sort of impossibly groovy soundtrack you want to warm you up and get you going with just the right balance between head and heel.

Bringing a whole ton of positive energy to her sets and releases alike, among them those for Permanent Vacation and Robert Johnson, Jorkes mashes up jocular disco with every house classic you can name. A key focus to her work too is the elevation of issues related to gender and queerness, making her a shoo-in for the Hydrash endeavour. It’s a cheeky and salacious celebration of life, a middle finger to imposed normativity, one that ramps up the serotonin minute by minute. Bassiani Podcast 205 is cheeky and fearless, a no fucks given mix packed full of glistening synths and euphoric diva vocals, feel-good rhythms from the Bassiani floor.
