Doch Johannes hat seine treffsichere 303 dabei. Der mysteriöse Händler Monaberry verkauft allen ein Elixier, welches ihnen Treffsicherheit und Top 10 Chartplatzierungen garantiert. Beim Duell bemerken alle 3 sehr schnell, dass jeder das selbe Elixier genommen hat. Sie einigen sich auf eine gemeinsame EP und sind glücklich über diese Tatsache, da ein gewonnenes Duell dazu führt, dass man mit dieser EP niemals den falschen Weg einschlagen kann.

E/ Super Flu are former gunslingers who are addicted to music. Randomly they get the chance to challenge Johannes Albert to a duel. But Johannes has his unerring 303 with him. The mysterious dealer Monaberry sells them all an elixir, which guarantees them accuracy and top 10 chart positions. During the duel, all 3 quickly realize that everyone has taken the same elixir. They agree on a common EP and are happy about this fact, because a won duel leads to the fact that one can never go the wrong way with this EP.

All aboard the ‘Ark’: Two by two, four by four, whatever… Whichever way you want to board, the doors of this great vessel are open and Monaberry bossmen Super Flu are the proud captains.

Their first full voyage of the year, ‘Ark’ is a stately piece of techno noir theatre designed to wrestle the choppiest of dancefloor seas. A multi-layered narrative laced with crispy arpeggios and strange otherworldly talkbox textures, it’s an oceanic titan that ploughs through the heaviest of elements with grace and majesty.

‘Doppt’ takes us to the next waymark on the map. Gently rhythmic from the moment its first shakers kiss your ears, we’re soon satiated with tightly plucked percussive elements, subtle humanised textures and a sense of momentum that’s tightly coiled with suspense and drama in a way that only Super Flu know how.

Finally our feet touch terra firma with the mysterious afro house maverick Hyenah as he provides an earthy remix stampede. Flexing between African rhythms, powerful 4/4s and a tantalising breakdown salvo, it’s yet another sterling revision from the masked beast… And another exceptional Monaberry trip from the one and only Super Flu. Boy voyage!

@crosstownrebels welcome Tochno Techno label owner @yulianikomusic to release her first full EP, ​Paradise, ​a captivating three track EP featuring jazz bossanova vocalist @silromero and Italian talent @cioz on remix duty. The aptly named ​Es Vedra c​ an be heard as a digital bonus track.

Opening track ​"Caminando" e​ncapsulates Yulia’s inspiration from walking on the White Isle of Ibiza where she spent the last year living. The hypnotising deep house melody of swirly synth pads and Sil Romero’s beautiful dreamy vocals wash over skipping percussion in an emotive composition. Niko described how the track came together - “​I sent demos to my friend and great jazz Bossanova singer Sil Romero and told her about my emotions after Ibiza. She also loves the island and goes there every year. The words "Caminado" are from Spanish - walking around, and she says ”I feel good​!”. Cioz ​puts his own melodic stamp on the remix, creating a progressive club piece with bright keys over a reshaped bass line.

German duo Monkey Safari make a rare step away from their own Hommage label for a stunning debut on Get Physical Music.

For the best part of the last decade now, Lars Rühlemann and Sven Fröhlich aka Monkey Safari have been serving up a quirky and curious take on house music that has brought real character to the dance floor. They have put out three absorbing full lengths as well as almost thirty EPs, and have made their Hommage label a vital one in the process. Here they open their debut with the excellent ‘Mantra,’ a propulsive house track with humid, jungle-like atmospheres, woodblock hits and elastic bass that really builds the pressure. It’s a warm and absorbing affair brimming with charm. 

Today's premiere, the hypnotic ‘Tollo’, then establishes another enchanting groove, this time with spoken word vocals intoxicating you further as the rubbery drums and soft, fat hits get you deeper into the groove.
