3 QUESTIONS to OLIVIER WEITER:

Q: Summer 2016 is in full progress. What´s your favorite place to be/to play?

A: I love to play all over the world, visiting as many countries as possible. But for the festivals, I really like the festival productions in the Netherlands. So professional, and beautiful stage designs. Only bad thing is that the the sun doesn't shine always ;)

Q: In german „weiter“ means „forward“. Is that part of the secret behind your name?

A: Yes it is, I always wanted to be called Olivier when I was a child, because of a dutch tv serie where the main character is called Olivier. He always went travelling and did those crazy adventures. Weiter is indeed inspired by German word Forward, because I always want to go forward, don't stop at a point. I think you are never finished with this ambition. It got inspired to do all this by the German techno sound, so this is how my alter ego "Olivier Weiter" was born. 

Q: You started a label according to your name, called „Weiter“. What´s coming up soon?

A: The last release was from a very young talent called Marc Holstege, with an amazing remix from Formel. Those boys have already done some great releases, so the next WEITER release will be an EP from them. I'm also busy with finishing a sampler for the Amsterdam Dance Event, wich contains tracks from most of the producers who released a previous track on the label.

Als wir genau heute vor 5 Jahren das Projekt Jeden Tag ein Set aus Liebe zur Musik und aufgrund Hunderter Gigabyte an Sets auf unseren Festplatten starteten, hätten wir uns nicht einmal zu träumen gewagt, welche Ausmaße es einmal annehmen würde. Jeden Tag ein Set hat sich inzwischen zu einer festen Institution im Bereich der elektronischen Musik gemausert und ist inzwischen unter Ravern und DJs deutschlandweit bekannt. Mit eigenen Veranstaltungen konnten wir unseren treuen Fans wieder etwas zurück geben und an vielerorts ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern und dem ein oder anderen Act vielleicht sogar ein Sprungbrett in die Techno Welt bereiten. 

Zum 5. Geburtstag gratuliert diesmal das Duo Super Flu in Form eines ganz speziellen Podcast. Mit ihrem Label Monaberry, ihren Tracks wie Volkwein, Ditschn oder Shine und wohl auch nicht zu letzt aufgrund ihrer extrem witzigen und sympatischen Art, wurden Feliks und Mathias unter ihrem Alias Super Flu weltbekannt. Im Mai diesen Jahres veröffentlichten die beiden Hallenser ihr Album „Musik 3“, gefolgt von einem herausragenden Solomun-Remix des Tracks „My Gut“. 

Wir freuen uns wirklich sehr darüber und sind auch ein wenig stolz, dass wir Super Flu für einen exklusiven Podcast gewinnen konnten. Viel Spaß mit einer Stunde erste-Sahne-Musik aus dem Hause Monaberry!
