Next up on Moon Harbour is a pair of label debutants in the form of prolific German Turk producer Butch, and Be As One label regular Gel Abril. Together they cook up a pair of enticing tech house cuts that get remixed by Re.You, who himself released on the label back in 2014.

Butch has been active for years, has collaborated with the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and has served up tons of killer hits that have kept people all over the world dancing non stop. Israeli Gel Abril has also released a consistently inventive stream of EPs in the tech house mould and together this pair really excel.
Up first, ‘Juice Machine’ is a barreling cut with pinging drums that ride up and down in infectious style. Carefully treated vocals echo up top and add a dub flavour as subtle rave horns and old school motifs also colour the groove. When remixed by Re.You, the track becomes a more subdued, deeper cut with spraying synths and a sense of late night paranoia in the grooves.
Lastly, ‘Badass Acid’ is a minimal cut with warm pads, hiccuping sine waves and a growing sense of synthetic tension. It’s a masterful bit of slow burning craftsmanship that has icy hi hats to die for.

With this excellent EP, Moon Harbour once again widen their sonic remit and welcome some truly tastemaking talents to the label.

Born in Mainz with Turkish roots, Butch hustled his way into the scene, earning multiple Best Producer awards and working with legends like Ricardo Villalobos, Armand van Helden, Cassius, Maceo Plex, and Keinemusik. His releases on Innervisions, Running Back, Defected, Rekids, Diynamic, and Cuttin’ Headz have shaped the underground.

2025 is set to be massive, with his remix of Duck Sauce’s “Falling In Love” already dominating dancefloors and more releases on the way. Butch doesn’t follow rules—he just makes music that moves people.
