Boichoko Qwabe better known as Choko, is a talented young woman born in Bloemfontein and bred in Kroonstad, she has always been actively involved in musical activities from a young age.
 
As a student at University of the Free State, she started writing and considering putting “shyness” on the side and taking her music to another level. She became a lead singer for the Universityof Free State Gospel Choir which saw her making her first appearance on SABC 2 Gospel Time in April. She was also a member of the Bloemfontein Ensemble Gospel Group that reached the semi-finals of the Gospel Stars in 2005.
 
Simply Choko is a sing along, soothing beautiful creation of music. The beauty of this album is in the softness of the voices, melodies and the strength in the lyrics and its story telling. It is a very soul and intimate album with a very warm emotional content.
 
The album is the sound of  joy, of  love, of a young girl who is now a grown, who is opinionated, who has her own voice and who is finally happy about what she pens down and define as music.

Baile” but still enjoyable, “a song that I wrote in memory of my late Grandfather, it just sings praises of Bakwena, their clan name, but it’s mostly about him, seeing the great qualities that he had, that still lives us in awe when we remember him, we will always celebrate his life”… I have song that appreciates the strength of a women, it simply appreciates the many roles they can actually play gracefully, being Moms, friends, Faithful partners, being successful in careers, running their houses single headedly or jointly with husbands if they are married. I have  I have songs like Kerobegile, Uzenzile that are mainly addressing issues of responsibility and making choices that eventually have a great impact in one`s life. I have beautiful love songs like “make me happy” and lerato” these are happy songs, easy to dance along to, that anybody who is in love just falls in love with, and many more.

Im hoping that I touch souls and that my music be the ingredient of hope and an element of freshness and cheerfulness that someone is longing for out there. im hoping to create a legacy of timeless music, jams for every season and feelings.
