When you get Super DJ Jay Dee to take over your dance floor, you are getting exactly what is says, “Super DJ”.  Jay Dee is charisma, showmanship and years of experience all wrapped into one.  He is not only a DJ.  He is a performer.Whether its showing turntable skills on stage or grabbing the mic and sending the crowd into a frenzy, Jay Dee knows what to do and exactly when to do it.  

     “Experience is very important for any DJ” says Jay Dee.  “I’ve been spinning in nightclubs since 1989, and I’ve watched the best & worst DJ’s on earth.  You learn a little something from everyone and you always take it with you.”  Being a major player on the New York City nightclub scene for over 10 years makes you well rounded. “Some nights I would have 500 thugs on my dance floor, and some nights I would have Mariah Carey or Robert DeNiro on my dance floor.”  “It’s all about knowing your room.”  Being a veteran in the game, Jay Dee’s music selection is wide and versatile.  He can play hip hop, R&B, 80’s rock, reggae, reggaeton, and disco classic with the best of them.  “What makes me a great DJ is that I know how to blend all the styles of music, and use it to wow the crowd.”  ”There’s nothing like working a packed room when you got the new 50 Cent song playing, and then the crowd roars and cheers when you scratch in Michael Jackson “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough.”  “That sound the crowd makes is the reason why I get up every morning with the next gig on my mind.”

     Jay Dee has played in over 1,000 nightclubs and concert venues in the last 23 years.  He has toured with “The Lyricist Lounge”, “And1 Mix Tape Tour”, and was the after party DJ for Jay Z’s “Roc The Mic” tour.  In the early 2000’s, you could find Jay Dee rocking the number one nightclubs in New York City.  Jay Dee held resident status at Spa, Exit, Cheetah, Mars2112, & Lot 61 to name a few.  He has performed live with G-Unit, Ashanti, Freeway, Sean Paul, DMX, Fabolous, Joe Budden, The Sugarhill Gang, Wyclef, Styles P, and many more.  Some notable parties under his belt consist of the Pre Grammy Awards Party at Lot 61 in 2001 Hosted by Prince, Ashanti’s Triple Platinum Party in 2002, The movie premier party for Final Destination 2, and HBO’s Sopranos Cast Party at Club One51 in New York City. 

  In 2001, Jay Dee conquered over 17,000 DJ's for Interview Magazines Title of "NYC Nightclub DJ of the Year" 

    “My most memorable club moment was in 2001 at Cheetah in New York City. Chris Rock gave me $500 to play nothing but Notorious BIG songs for a half hour straight. Little that Mr. Rock knew I am a HUGE Biggie fan, and I would’ve done it free!” But that’s just between us.” 

     Jay Dee, also has experience in radio & TV. He was a Mix Show DJ on “WBVD 95.1 The Beat” in Melbourne Florida, which is a Clear Channel station. In New York he had many guest appearances on HOT 97, and frequently worked alongside DJ's Funkmaster Flex, Big Kap, Skribbles, and Mister Cee.  

   With partner DJ Crossphada (former Tour DJ for Common, Pharoah Monch, The Beatnuts, and Mobb Deep) Thier College radio show “The Basement” on 90.1 ran successfully from 1995-1999.  The show is one of many college shows in the country noted for kick starting the careers of many of todays popular artists such as Mos Def, & Eminem.  Jay Dee also has many TV appearances on BET's Rap City as a Guest DJ, and MTV's Spring Break in the mid 90's. 

  As far as Venues and Cities go, there are far too many to name and list.  Jay Dee has been part of the Hip Hop Scene since 1983 and started in nightclubs as early as 1987.  He has played Miami, NYC, Chicago, & Vegas, and tours the country on a regular basis and has for many years.
