Here at Simply Syndicated we make audio entertainment. We have been known to make a video from time to time, but mainly we're audio people. We've been doing it for a long time, so we've made loads of stuff. Over the years we've talked about movies, music, TV, cooking, video games, books, beer, and Star Trek.

Nerd Hurdles — the podcast that helps you overcome your geek prejudices... with snark 

Nerd Hurdle - nerd hur'dle - (nûrd hûr'dl) n., v. -dled, -dling -n. a barrier or blockade of 'nerdiness' that an individual not of the nerd persuasion must metaphorically 'leap' over in order to enjoy or fully appreciate a given experience or situation. She loves Mel Gibson but the aliens were just too big a nerd hurdle for her to really enjoy Signs. -v. to successfully overcome a nerd hurdle. 

Each week one of geekdom's sacred cows is put on the chopping block as Jakob and Mandi dissect it with an irreverent and ruthlessly critical eye. Occasionally the cow makes it out unscathed, but even when when the blood of your favourite movie, TV show, book, comic, game, character or pastime is spilled, there's something to laugh about (as they twist the knife).

Join Jonathan and Shane as they take you through some of the Greatest Events in Sporting History. From World Cups and Super Bowls to curling gold and Olympic water polo, the show covers a wide range of sports. As well as occasionally covering wider topics regarding social issues within the sporting world. 

Tech It Or Leave It is the first tech news show from Simply Syndicated, recorded live, every Sunday at 4pm BST. 

Our hosts range from enthusiastic geek to professional coder, and are joined by special guests from time to time. Everything from our weekly pool of news stories is linked to in our episode shownotes, and we invite you to suggest topics for discussion throughout the week on our forums.

The show that gave rise to Simply Syndicated, Movies You Should See is at the heart of the network. This is no high-brow affair; it's what you get when a group of friends with different tastes in film gather in front of microphones to discuss, debate, dissect and devour movies for your delectation. 

From the gooey Ghost to the masterful Three Colours Trilogy, the crew leave no stone unturned across the genres and put each other through sometimes tough challenges. Disagreement, salty language and a heavy dose of irreverent humour might belie the passion for film and genuine pathos, but it's all there. 

Richard and Allison's Super Happy Fun Time rose up from the ashes of Weekend Watches, morphing into a show for the Simply Syndicated community of listeners. We went live and opened the phone lines to connect with each other, share the things that have made the week great, and bring some fun to the weekend. It also showed that the community could support each other through life's challenges, and bring the most wonderfully diverse group of people together. 

Saturdays ain't the same without it, and the now legendary Christmas Eve Specials mark the beginning of the holidays for Synners everywhere. If Movies You Should See is the heart of Simply Syndicated, then SHaFT is its soul.
