When I first undertook the Sonic CD project, I really wanted to remix one of the signature sources in an electronica style that would still pay homage to the original. Listening through the OST, I thought Palmtree Panic's various zone themes were ripe for expansion and could fit together quite well. The result was this mix, which is easily my strongest and most well-developed song to-date. It starts off with a light and airy atmosphere and then takes us through the Present and Bad Future sources and then finishes up with the Good Future source, which includes a square synth solo overtop some Sonic SFX, which was a ton of fun to write. It then comes full circle and closes out with some more of the light and ethereal instrumentation from the intro. I was really trying to make this mix sound like it belonged within the game, but expanding it with some additional instrumentation and personalization. I like to think I succeeded!

Been a while since I've posted something on here, so have another SMPS competition mashup, this time of Sonic Heroes' Special Stage mixed into Sonic 3K's own Special Stage.

Another fun one to make, as always. This one actually gave me quite a lot of pain getting right; I had the middle done before the beginning, and then I couldn't get it to blend well, and had to redo bits and fit things in other places-- you get the idea.

Either way, it all came together in the end, and even though I didn't win the competition round I'm still proud of this one. :>

Pokémon Yellow was my favorite Game Boy game. I practically obsessed over it. My brothers and I shared it, but I got a hold of it first, so my brothers had to play a character named Dustin. HA!

From a "I want to do this" standpoint, this is a remix that's roughly two years in the making. From an "okay, I'm gonna do this" standpoint, this is kinda recent. Not as recent as my Titanfall remix ( and I kinda wish I could have used those greatly improved tone sets for this track), but recent.

Originally, this track was just straight up metal. But I wanted to go off the beaten path, and create something a little closer to the feel of the soundtrack. Using several "keyboardish" synths, I set out to make that happen.
