sonic's sound set (remix and not)

An old track from 2011 I made based on some chords MarkeyJester had written for a song in one of his many homebrew projects over the years. I still really enjoy how this turned out.

Somebody pointed out that the guitar solo near the end kind of sounds like Tidal Tempest Good Future from the US Sonic CD soundtrack. I never realized this initially, so my bad for the unintentional ripoff. :P

Once upon a time there was a peaceful and numb world, it was all so boring... until the invasion began. The Blast Processor may have made some bullet holes, but it also made that world wake up.

This album is my repay for a lot of things and people I met in my life and made my mindset what it is now (a mess of beautiful gamey musicy stuff). Starting from my Genesis console when I was a kid, the games I played then, the people that I met who shared the love for that console and that sound the people that introduced me to the pure YM2612 music creation, the people that made me love and make chiptunes and the people that makes the tools so that we arttists can burst out all that love into music.

This version includes remixes by my awesome friends Jredd and swerdmurd!

You'll also find a ROM that you can load into your favorite Genesis/MegaDrive emulator (I recommend KFusion) or in a flash cartridge to play it in real hardware!

08 Tail Chaser [UV Sir J, DiGi Valentine, J.ME the Sista' UV]

This is a remix of Stardust Speedway (JP) from Sonic CD. I had never played Sonic CD growing up because I never had a Sega CD (only Genesis), but over last Christmas I found it on PSN for $5 so I picked it up. I was blown away by the cheesy 90s soundtrack (the Japanese version), particularly the Stardust Speedway song, and it was the perfect opportunity to use my library of vocal samples and brass hits that I figured I'd never ever use in anything :D I hope you all like it!
