I have no idea what inspired this song, all I know is that I got stoned and spent 7 or 8 hours straight on this song, and pretty much did the whole thing. Can you believe that horn section was done on a keyboard. I got so in depth with the different expressions you can chose when you program in the ones. Logic Pro is amazing like that.

Such a simple progression but for me, such a banger. I think this was one of this morning melodies I woke up with, and just put some other parts with it. Seems to be talking about the version of myself I ignore and don't make space for, the part of me I don't love and support, and about giving myself the time and space to express all that I can offer.

Cosmic Joke

While most of his fellow law graduates were hard at work studying for exams or out drinking, Joe was more likely to be found back at college, cradling a guitar and teaching himself the craft of songwriting. He began writing songs at the start of his degree and when he graduated 5 years later, he had written over 150 songs on guitar and piano and completed his first EP ‘Time Ticks A Way’  

Now, he’s gone back to the basics. After having played around with all the latest toys for music making, he’s come home again to his first instrument, the piano.  

Recorded on an April day, these tracks embody a soulful side of Joe and tell a story about love, longing and the surrender to possibility. These songs are all connected to real romance, written in the bloom of Melbourne springtime and the subsequent peace of falling leaves in autumn.

After a 5 year hiatus, Superjuice are powering up to bring back the old school, dance-your-ass-off and sing-along party!

Superjuice is a funk, reggae, party group that formed in 2008 and spent years doing the bar, club and festival rounds, perfecting their distinct sound and no-holds barred, party vibe.

Fronted by the double threat of the vivacious Cherry Cabrie on vocals and the loose cannon that is Charlie White on vocals and drums, expect a night with some of Melbourne’s best and funnest musicians; expect anything from reggae grooves, hip-hop free styling, screaming sax solos, wailing guitar, rocking funk grooves to epic sing-alongs.

The one thing you won’t be missing at the end of a Superjuice gig, is a bunch of sweat and a huge smile on your face!
