As the first of many energy-filled records scheduled for release this year, ‘Diamonds’ is the perfect kick-starter, with the debut's infectious yet chilled groove instantly being awarded 'Track of The Week' on BBC Introducing Merseyside. Having supported mainstream acts such as Tom Walker in previous solo projects, Superlate is no stranger to the ingredients of a pop song.

On booming festival stages or teeny Bluetooth speakers, the best things happen Superlate. Mavi, aka 'Superlate,' spent his teens tucked away in his bedroom, making music non-stop while brewing coffee to fund his festival addiction. Ever since he was exposed to his first festival headline set by dance icons Faithless, his path changed. Before he knew it, he had developed a love affair with the sundowner set and the irresistible energy that fills the air before a headliner takes the stage.

Fast forward to now, Superlate has built a reputation for crafting records that blend crisp modern pop writing with elements of dance production that evoke perfect nostalgia. Raised by the sea in Cornwall and now based in Liverpool, his coastal upbringing is unmistakable in his music, with his tracks reminiscent of sunsets all the way to darkness. An undeniable love for groove and uplift through music ensures Superlate’s listeners are delivered feel-good records fit to brighten any day.

His previous single caught the attention of Jack Saunders of BBC Radio 1, who hailed Superlate's debut single 'Diamonds' as a “special track,” featuring the crisp textured vocals of RnB artist Immi Dash. He followed that up with 'Barbados,' a collaboration with fellow multi-instrumentalist producer Youngr.

2024 sees the next chapter of Superlate begin, with a stream of collaborations with artists from all over the world and an undoubtable trajectory pointed to festival shows filled with smiles.
