Simply put, “Refraction Point” is a full-on auric assault on the senses and the physical body. The massive oscillating basslines, the intricately constructed extraterrestrial atmospheres, and the utterly dumbfounding drum patterns that weave betwixt growling glitch. The compositions almost literally speak for themselves, and truly have a mind of their own. This expressively psychedelic monstrosity of sound is a seminal piece for Berkeley, California’s Ben Wyss, known to the interplanetary creatures that fall victim to vibrations as Sixis. It’s been almost three years since the producer has released a full project, and the dedication and devotion that was poured into releasing this one is instantly evident.

“Refraction Point” is critical mass for Sixis. This is a journey through the cerebral caverns of a producer’s mind who is only just beginning to make his mark on music. The extensively thought-provoking ingenuity of each track and the outright dynamism and ebullience that drives each song to its conclusion is almost staggering. This EP from start to finish is a cosmic catastrophe, and that is meant in the most positive way possible.

Audio Alchemy is the application of ancient alchemical wisdom to the modern music making process It exists to serve us in our personal, creative and spiritual growth. 

Originally developed and taught by Steve Young (Hedflux) and Andy Freist (Opulence) as part of the Audio Alchemy Retreat, there is now a global community of more that 100 producers actively working with this method. 

This is the first compilation from the Audio Alchemy initiates, and marks the birth of a new kind of record label.

Supersillyus is the alias of Bobert Max, a multi-instrumentalist and electronic music producer based in Denver, Co. His extensively layered soundscapes and penchant for cinematic storytelling take listeners on a truly extraordinary adventure through unique rhythms and poignant melodies. Part composer, part comedian, Supersillyus commands an army of synths and sounds with the computer to enchant more than just the brain with his live electronic performances. 

Believing that there must be more to computer music than just playing tracks behind a six foot folding table, Robert assembled the Supersillyus Lifeband, an immersive live band experience combining the energy and chaos of live instrumentation with the infinite technical possibilities of electronic interactivity.  The band is an ever growing and evolving supergroup lineup, featuring the brilliant talents of Ed Mann (Frank Zappa), Carmen Esteves (Brooklyn Gypsies), and the psychedelic power trio lespecial. 

Robert’s passion for his uniquely expressive and creative brand of instrumental storytelling is exemplified not just by his multiple support performances with visionary musicians Shpongle, Tipper, and Ott, but also by his musical contributions to renowned art institutions such as COSM and Meow Wolf
