(Un) universo (nace). Visualiza, escucha y va creciendo. (Este) universo (seres sintientes) van mutando su capacidad para ver, oír y percibir información en el tiempo. Y (ese) universo total, entero y sensible se encuentra absorbiendo la vida que tiene por delante, los lados, por arriba y por abajo. Y va mutando, va observando, va entendiendo y sigue escuchando.

Ya no es (un) universo sino (cosmos) de elementos, recuerdos, registros y encuentros nuevos. De paisajes visuales y sonoros; un campus infinito de belleza y horrores que transpora en (elle) como maleta, recorre y explora lo desconocido para seguir (creciendo).

John Palumbo recalls:  Pill Culture originated with a “hot mic” session, wherein the room mic was run through 3 mixing boards supplying an incredible amount of gain. In line was a guitar delay pedal which allows the hot  mic to be pitch shifted and delayed in real time as a response to the sounds generated, a sort of “call and response”, if you will. Then to this hot mic track, synthesizers, drum kit and various percussion instruments were added.  These tracks were then interpreted, added to, mixed and edited yielding what is heard in this release.

Make Shadows Together is proud to present the debut album 'Sumu' that introduces their sonic visions and soundscapes that are based on floating and experimental violin and viola melodies created by Jussi Suonikko and solid synthesizer, organ and piano ground, layers and melodies created by Juha Mäki-Patola.

Make Shadows Together creates cinematic and minimalistic ambient music with a sombre twist, and meditative soundscapes that are floating calmly but also soaring.

Jussi and Juha started to make music together over a decade ago. Since then both have worked in several roles in Finnish music community as musicians, recording, mixing and mastering engineers, composers and sound designers.

Make Shadows Together took their name from a poem that legendary songwriter Mark Olson wrote when he heard the song "Leonids".

'Sumu' got its first steps in 2018 when Jussi sent an abstract violin melody to Juha and he created solid ground for this piece. The piece is "Deprivation" which gave inspiration to fellows to create more music. Slowly but with steady steps 'Sumu' started to see the daylight and at the end of memorable year 2020 all songs were in shape, and Make Shadows Together was ready to release their debut album 'Sumu'.
