Smash the House demonstrate their dexterity once again with this rolling peak time anthem. Primed to take over clubs and destroy festivals throughout the summer season, Smash the House latest release, ‘Filthy’ looks destined to follow other STH classics and become an Ibiza mainstay this season. Overloaded with epic drops, huge hooks and crashing crescendos this release hits all the spots. 

Created by mysterious producer, ’Ibranovski,’ who hails from EDM’s most fertile region, the Netherlands. He is already looking destined to be a firm favourite with fans across the globe and as a producer, who has been receiving support from Blasterjaxx, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Afrojack and Sander Van Doorn so far in his career; it won’t be long until we see him scale to the very top. With his last release ‘Vicious’ dropping on Doorn Recordings and ‘Filthy’  coming out on STH, Ibranovski  is ultimately proving to be one of those artists who is a firm believer in working with label and releasing material that is of the upmost quality.

A fresh, urban rough style mix of Soul, Electro, Beat, Nu-Jazz and Swing. They met in Bucharest: Christie, the singer with a striking, extraordinary voice, who had to be argued into singing in the first place, and Bazooka, music producer, drummer and multi-instrumentalist, who studied the clarinet at the Bucharest Conservatory. In the meantime they got married and their kid loves to stroll curiously on stage from time to time. Joined by Adita, keyboarder and guitar player, actor and equestrian and Printzu, who gave up his studies of theology to play the bass.

Moonlight Breakfast had exactly five rehearsals before their first concert. And we are not speaking of an underground club. They were the opening act for Jamiroquai, playing in front of a crowd of 35.000 people. Thanks to their intoxicating performance they passed the  test with flying colours and since then, they’ve been performing their worldwide concerts with a playful easiness. 

They have just released their first album „Shout“, which puts all their influences in a nutshell. Produced, recorded, edited, mixed and mastered by  Bazooka, the 13 songs of this debut album show a special style mix. „Hello“ opens with a pushing voodoo beat and Christie’s question „Hello! Do you wanna know my name?“ Whereas „Still“ is a weird disco song with a fairylike soul voice. It’s here that Billie Holiday meets Bananarama and Les Rita Mitsouko for a few drinks and some cool moves. In „Play“ Moonlight Breakfast unite Pop, Disco, Swing and Gypsy Jazz and top it off with a catchy clarinet solo.

I don't do covers very often, but this song has always hit me in a special way. It takes me away, and puts me in a different place. For the last couple of years I haven't sang on any of my recorded songs, but this cover felt special and I wanted my voice on it because of what it means to me. I was a bit nervous to live up to all of the amazing vocalists that I've worked with, but yes, that's me singing!

I hope when you guys hear this it can do for you what the original always did for me. Hopefully it can transport you somewhere a bit sunnier, with someone you wish you could be with.
