Stockholm’s melodic mastery is on full display with the latest offering from XYZ, as Hosini takes over remix duty on Frost. First released as part of last year’s Oppo I, a project curated by Hosini himself, it’s only fitting that he’s the one to revamp the blissful production from Jones Meadow.

Having been musical comrades for years, connecting on several stunning Anjunadeep releases, the established understanding of sound between the two Swedes shines through on the Frost remix. Hosini eases us into the groove, capturing the original’s heady drumline and comforting pads. He brings the arrangement into refreshed territory, utilizing quintessential melodic mastery and soaring strings.

Hosini and Jones Meadow sound like the light at the end of the tunnel.

Closing out March for the When We Dip label family, we’re thrilled to partner with SDK for their inaugural release. The Vancouver-based duo of Syrus and Ali DK have been stalwarts in the deep and melodic scene for some time now, and officially join forces in the studio to create a formidable partnership. 

The first release from SDK is sure to turn heads, blending heady melodies and signature vocal hooks. What They Want opens with a warm percussive rhythm, before diving deep into a darker space with powerful synth work and dance-driven drums. Vocal stabs ease in and out throughout the track, presenting a tune at the centerpoint of underground and familiar. The guitar lead sizes the spotlight, with big chords offering a touch of classic feel.

TÂCHES is well known to When We Dip faithful as ole’ reliable when it comes to remixing. He’s one of the world’s best at reimagination, and his immense skillset is on full display yet again. He opens with blissful instrumentals, allowing strings and percussion to set the stage amongst light electronic hooks. An extended bridge offers the dancefloor relief, before kicking right back into gear and closing with a sumptuous piano riff. Pure magic from TÃCHES, as to be expected.

Montreal’s finest Adam Husa makes his TOR debut to close out the What They Say project. He takes the vibe straight to the afterhours, harnessing the vocal offerings in swirling sound design. The groove never relents, with an organic feel warming the linear arrangement. The Husa Sounds head-honcho perfectly intertwines his bountiful sound with the immense character on offer from the original; one for the dancers.

Since the last back 2 back session between these two DJ’s it could not be long before Michel and Karotte would enter the DJ booth together again. Their shared love and passion for good music, intimate locations and food brought them to Wolf..

This location is housed in a large glass building which rests on a 100 years old railroad bridge near Amsterdam Central Station. During the day it is a high end restaurant runned by Michael Wolf and during ADE it will be an intimate club for 4 nights in a row. This means; remove all the furniture, place a crazy soundsystem, dim the lights and dance! With the sold out night at Restaurant Baut during ADE 2014 still fresh in our memory we are sure this will also be a night to remember.

Easing us through the depths of March, we welcome Emotional Tourist back into the XYZ fold. Since the soaring reception to his remix of DSF’s Pouf, the Bucharest-bred producer has been firmly in the crosshairs as one to watch in 2021. After making waves last summer with a supreme EP on Kindisch, the Romanian released a stunning edit of Sade to claim our nod as one of the tracks of the year. We think he’s making some of the best deep and melodic sounds around, and we’re thrilled to showcase his immense quality with The Day the World Meets You.

The EP’s namesake opens with crisp drums, before warming to lush melodies and fluttering instrumentals. Emotional Tourist connects with a label favorite - Amega - on vocal duty.
