We're pretty much as big of Andreas Henneberg fans as it gets. Out of all the artists we've brought out to Desert Hearts Festival, Andreas has been one of the artists who's vibed with our family the most. When he asked if we wanted to bring out his side project, The Glitz, alongside production partner Daniel Nitsch, we were frothing at the mouth. Not only had The Glitz released some of our favorite tracks over the last decade, but they'd released their own standout EP on Desert Hearts Records in March of 2016. It was a no brainer that we wanted their vibe at the festival. Unfortunately at the last second, Andreas came down with an ungodly sickness and informed us he wasn't going to be able to make it. Luckily for him, his partner Daniel held it the fuck down and completely destroyed the Desert Hearts dance floor. Prepare yourself to be transported back to midnight on Friday night at Desert Hearts Festival 2017. Enjoy!

The label’s highly impressive 10th release shines a spotlight on the dynamic creativity of rising Argentinian DJ/Producer Antrim, who follows his remix of Griffin Paisley’s ‘Sunspots’ (ODST0009) with his own 2-tracker. This package is further boosted by a superb set of remixes courtesy of fellow Argentinian rising-star Nicolas Rada, and one of Egypt’s most promising rising DJ/Producers, the inimitable Black 8.

‘Missing Words’ is a masterfully subtle and uniquely enthralling creation. Its relaxed, carefully arranged, hypnotic, melodic beauty marks Antrim out as being ahead of the curve. Indeed, whilst also running and releasing on his own Or Two Strangers imprint, Antrim has built a reputation for developing a highly individualistic cutting edge sound, incorporating both deep and progressive influences, and seen him impress with a steady flow of recent releases on the likes of Sudbeat, Future Sound Of Egypt, Dreamers and Particles. Remix duties for ‘Experiments’ fall to Cairo-based Black 8, considered to be one of Egypt’s most promising rising DJ/Producers. We were always living in nonlinear times, but a significant cycle is coming to an end so we are noticing a growing number of severe changes and happenings caused by the nonlinear nature of things. For human beings it's difficult to imagine exponential growth despite it surrounding us in almost every aspects of life.
In music one can find such nonlinear increases or logarithmical declines in the core of sound creation itself, namely in envelopes controlling levels, texture and frequencies. But also in real life in the rise and fall of popularity, in viral news or in the development of music technology.
Utilising his sound pallet comprised of modular synthesis and electronic instrumentation, Florian Meindl highlights these resonances of thought and exploration with a sonic statement of his current vision around electronic music in the form of his 4th artist album.
