'Krypte is the first EP of Shimon & PKM.

They met in 2021, and it was an instant musical fit. Both have been doing music their whole life, Simon playing the trumpet, djing professionally and Pierre playing the piano, singing, playing the guitar, and wriVng songs. They’re bringing together a deep love of electronic music, and a background of classical music. With most of the sounds been recorded in nature, or with daily life objets as well as live instruments and synths.

'Burning Lobster' is named afer a weekend long musical gathering Pierre organizes every year in BriJany with 150 friends, with kind of a burning burning man vibe party. It’s a deep and groovy roller.'

Amsterdam-based artist Joep Mencke continues the subtle introduction of his forthcoming debut album, as he unveils another single from ‘Unalome’. The LP is inspired by the Buddhist path to 
enlightenment, with singular emotions represented as individual tracks within the album. 
Released on Dutch imprint Klassified on 16th September, Mencke’s ‘Sabda’ represents the emotion of ‘Peace’. Instantly soothing, it’s another exhibition of Joep’s storytelling ability and boundless musicality. Riding alongside its tenderly undulating chorus of cadent rhythmic instruments, ‘Sabda’ features a positively introspective smattering of softly-plucked and sweeping tonal elements - whilst 
also creating a soundscape reminiscent of night flight through a desert sky.

Speaking of his forthcoming debut album, Joep says: “Everything in this world, every object, every thought, every emotion, consists of frequencies or waves of energy. We perceive the world as if it is made of separate entities, while in fact it is an interplay of frequencies. This means that our consciousness is constantly affected by its surroundings, and in return that the frequencies of our consciousness are constantly affecting our surroundings. When we are feeling happy or sad, this energy is affecting our surroundings. “Unalome is a journey through frequencies and their corresponding emotions and highlights the interplay between sound and consciousness. The album focuses on using music as a tool for exploration and transformation."

After Dandara and Reza digitally met, they both saw the potential in creating music together. The idea for this EP came from Reza's recent acoustic album "Yin" from which they took different ideas and sounds to create a new story, a shadow to the original narrative.


Shadow of Contemplation reworks the piano in Reza's original "Dhyana", a Sanskrit word meaning Contemplation, this track keeps the meditative nature of the original and takes it on an inward journey of the mind, body and soul.


Shadow of Creation uses a sample from the original, "Shakti", Sanskrit for primordial cosmic energy. This track means to express how the creative source of energy can infinitely transmute.


Shadow of Continuum, is an expansion from a small section of the original "Shiva", a Hindu God who destroys to create, this is the closing thought of the EP, to show how the end of one cycle can be the beginning of another, resulting in a continuum, even if we look for endings and beginnings.
