Following their recent remix of Lakou Mizik & Joseph Ray’s uplifting anthem ‘Ogou (Pran Ka Mwen)’, dutch duo 16BL present their first original release in two years: ‘Always / Shadows On The Wall’, a double A-side in collaboration with Wild Dark.

Over the past years, 16BL have received support from the likes of Pete Tong, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Tycho, Kolsch, Adam Port, and John Digweed, and become Anjunadeep label favourites for memorable releases including ‘Deep In My Soul’, ‘Vette’ and ‘Beat Organ’.

Now, on this new release, the Dutch duo collaborate with New York-based brothers Wild Dark and singer-songwriter Megan Morrison. The first track, ‘Always’, opens the EP with distorted, swelling synths, before 16BL and Wild Dark each offer their own mix of second track 'Shadow On The Wall’, providing two different takes on the imposing melody and Megan’s stirring vocals.

Romain Garcia makes his Anjunadeep debut with the new ‘Before You Go EP’.

The Parisian producer first appeared on the electronic scene in 2020 with the brilliant single ‘Cappadocia’. A collaboration with Anjunadeep label star Ben Böhmer, the single premiered on Ben’s beloved hot air balloon livestream above the Turkish region for Cercle Music. Since its release on Cercle Records, ‘Cappadocia’ has seen support from the likes of Pete Tong, Elderbrook and Mees Salomé, and has racked up 10M streams on Spotify alone.

Since this remarkable debut, Romain Garcia has released with Parisian label Kidding Aside, and now presents four new tracks on his ‘Before You Go EP’. The title track features haunting chords and a memorable vocal riff. Next up are ‘Lights’, a vibrant offering featuring vocals from Romain himself, and string-laden ‘Blue Parrot’, before rounding off on an uplifting note with final track ‘Ona’.

They are all an important part of my life, but if there's one cut that really has touched my heart, has to be 'Natural Blues'. Can't explain why. Is not Moby's most perfect composition but it doesn't exist any other track that makes me feel like this. A mix of sadness and hope. And here I am, 31 years old (almost the same age as Moby when he wrote 'Natural Blues') and 20 years after its release, remixing my favorite tune. Trying not to destroy a piece of work I love and has meant so much to me. Has been one of the most beatiful challenges of my entire carreer. What else can I ask for when I'm remixing my favourite track? Nothing more. I just tried to give it my own touch. A tribute. Take it from my heart and bring it to the dancefloor. And I have the feeling that I've done it. I'm really lucky.
