Colm K returns to Tiff’s Joints for his second release on the label with four formidable club cuts in the form of KFU(RN).  Following on from 2017’s Beginnings/Six Four Hundred, the Cork native takes a tougher approach on KFU(RN) with his sights set squarely on the centre of the dance floor. “Lady” kicks things off with a delicately flipped piano and vocal part, which sits in contrast atop an unforgiving kick and endlessly skipping percussion. Taking a darker turn on “Apart”, an eerie arpeggio darts between belly shacking bass and fizzy synths. On the B-Side, “KFU(RN)” is centred around a riotously fun synth line, rock solid groove and a message from a concerned (and slightly inebriated) stranger, advising the listener on the preferred mental state to assume while consuming. “Diffraction” bounces from start to finish with a Mr. Fingers-esque bassline , driving the track forward and a celestial pad drifting in and out of the mix, guiding the EP to a close.

PREMIERE: Nesker — No Escape (Original Mix) [MYR]

Meet Alexus Sacco and Frank Stevens — the eclectic duo PVLMS. Known primarily for their resonant sound of synthesizers and electronic music, they put it down for their home state of Oklahoma. After releasing their first EP, “Resonator,” on Fantastic Voyage last year, they earned support from high-profile curators and landed on Beatport’s “Best New Deep House: November” page. The duo returns to the label with another soulful ambient track, “Steps of You” complimented by a sped up electro remix from BOYLIFE, set to release Friday, October 9th.

“We wrote and recorded “Steps of You” in a single sitting. It was one of those songs that essentially wrote itself once we figured out the melodies and grooves. This track means a lot to us and we are thrilled to have it out as a single plus the beautiful remix from BOYLIFE”

Originally from Oklahoma, they began producing music at an early age and released their first official project, “Compassion,” six years ago. Since then, the couple has released countless tracks and played numerous shows throughout Los Angeles, Dallas, and Oklahoma and have opened for notable acts such as Justin Jay, Henry Krinkle, and the Desert Hearts crew.
