KataHaifisch - Chapter 1° - Jungle Journey

KataHaifisch was founded in 2015 as an online Podcastseries. Now, after six years they are going to release their first own Record. Jungle Journey is an “Various Artist“ Compilation. 15 well selected Artists combine their talents on one Record. 11 unique Songs will guide you on a trip through the jungle. While you dive deaper and deaper into the rain forest you can hear and feel the cosy Downtempo vibes. You will experience the organic sounds as rain drops leaving a shiver on your skin. When you close your eyes the hypnotic melodys will show you wild spirits and crazy animals, as you have never seen before. Rhythmic percussions and drums will raise your heartbeat like hunting with Tigers would. Completed with the voice of nature as free as your mind after listening to this Jungle Journey and first release by KataHaifisch.

After spending many many hours in the Bar 25-Club over the years, and making it my second living-room for some time, it was always clear to me, that i would release on their label one day. So now Ladies and Gentleman: Here it is, et voila! My debut on Bar25: Moving Free I enjoyed putting this track together a lot, working with such great vocals is big fun. Dawson Bacca aka Big Bully is a fantastic vocalist/singer. There is also a little piece of a Baby Ford vocal in there (Through The Time). The breakdown in the middle, when its getting really mellow and sounds like a crackling vinyl-record is my favourite part. I think its deeply stimulating to have some analog dirt in your hifi-sound. Go Loose This track is my second collaboration with the australian singer Rachele Riedemann. Ive been playing it for a while now with huge reactions. With its deep chords and jacking beats its a killer on the floor.M.in provided his interpretation of this track in form of a great remix including added piano-parts played by Chriss Vogt. And there is a videoclip on the way. Freak! Go Loose! Have Some When the Bar25-label asked me to do a longer track for them, without any restrictions i went through my field- recorded sounds and found some funny vocals that i collected in croatia this summer and on other travels this year. It kind of reminded me of working on my radioplay Eramina (that by the way almost got released by Bar25, but for deadline-reasons got released on Eramina in 2007). I invited my friend Albi to the studio and we recorded the vocals Sitting and Talking Have Some... and finally the track was pushing in a trippy way. Pretty slow and laid back, but yet full on. www.bar25.de

Bar25, one of Berlin’s most legendary places, was a must for partygoers. It once made popular an alternative club culture, as a counter concept to the dark basement clubs and large discotheques, and was known worldwide as an extraordinary and timeless day- and nightclub.
As a consequence, Bar 25 Music was established in 2006 by label manager Danny Faber. The music label soon became synonymous for unique showcases and playful electronic music.
After more than 600 songs and 13 exciting years, we still love bringing the spirit of Bar 25 to the people, with good feeling music.
We are proud to present our Release No. 100. @bar25 presents “Das Horn” from the artist duo Umami! The duo, Robert and Sam, first met in a little basement studio in a village not far from the coast of the Baltic Sea. At that time, they played in different bands. Robert was producer and keyboarder of a Depeche Mode influenced electronic live act and Sam was a singer-songwriter and guitarist in several jazz and rock bands. With their urge to write and compose techno songs that dedicate themselves to the repetitiveness and intensity of electronic dance music and still fly with the emotion of real composing, they have much to contribute to the vast electronic music scene with its thousands of creative and talented producers. This EP includes three amazing party symphonies and a remix by the artist cooperation Kreist & Schlepp Geist.
