Shifting Tides

My friend Andrew Lakes and I created the first version of the 7vibes challenge. 
Here's the result of such a hard music production week, hope u enjoy!

7VibesChallenge Rules:

- Be open-minded and “crazy” if needed, push your creativity to the next level.
- Each day of the 7DC runs from 8 a.m. to 5 a.m. of the following day.
- You may complete a challenge the following day, but only once during the week.
- Every track must be at least 3 minutes long. The longest a song can last is 5:00.
- On one day of your choice, you must compose outside.
- Record yourself as proof that the challenge is properly completed.
- You can't listen to the other artist's tracks until the day of the meeting
- Allow AI for lyrics but not for the arrangement and the ideas
- 1 Music video ( you choose the song and the day)
- Most important: Have fun ;)

Write midi notes & automations only with the pencil tool.

Day 2 (10 squats)

Mood: angriness - Breakbeat.
Range (120-145bm)

Day 3 (5 burpees)

Mood: sadness - compose on 1 speaker, everythinug’s mono.

Mood: sadness - very dynamic challenge, stereo.

Nocturnal Currents (reMaster)

This is not first time that we see Erdi Irmak on One Of A Kind. Istanbul based artist pushes the boundaries with his recent releases, where he perfected producing deep melodic house music, but progressive is no strange to him because, from the very beginning he is deeply into progressive sounds. And so, even in his more recent production, you can hear tinge of progressive melodies. In "Dawn" EP, besides Erdi's remarkable original, we have two strong remixes. First one comes from the legend V-Sag while second was duty for, one of the best Polish producers, Salski!

Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint ushers in the summer season by showcasing new interpretations of Bigasti & Balad’s ‘The Days’. Originally released in August of 2019, it’s elegant motifs, wispy atmospheres and fluttery melodic concepts were well received by their fans and contemporaries. Still holding a place in the duo’s top five best selling tracks on Beatport, Sound Avenue now invites Nopi, B.A.X. and Jean Caillou to re-imagine the track. 

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of ‘The Days’ is Nopi. The Ukrainian artist first appeared on the Belgian imprint in February of this year with a remix of ‘Pearl’ by Paula OS. As the lead piece on the label’s ‘Re:Imagined #001’ release, it showcased Nopi’s individualities through a wealth of blissful concepts and organic design. Also laying claim to releases on Akbal Music, Kindisch and Seven Villas, Nopi now returns to Sound Avenue with a powerful rendition of ‘The Days’. Taking a cue from the original Nopi crafts a full groove and smooth rhythmic core. Nostalgic in nature, the piece flows through a storyboard of charged rhythms, luminous tones and fragmented vocals, before shifting energy into a transcendent break. Delicate yet buzzing, the centrepiece expertly melts down into a dramatic build as acid-like synths and a wave of noise spark a rousing finale.

Also making a welcome return to the label is B.A.X. who provides the second interpretation of ‘The Days’. The Vietnamese artist first appeared on Belgian imprint in January of this year with a remix of Madloch and Subnode’s ‘Lion’s Mane’, before delivering his ‘Serenade to Earth’ EP in April. Classically trained and borderless in his approach to production, the Ho Chi Minh City resident has also found a home on fryhide, Manual Music and Sound Avenue affiliate 3rd Avenue. Always a creative remixer, B.A.X. now returns to Sound Avenue, taking ‘The Days’ into his world of transcendent beats and impassioned melodies. Warm rhythms, clattering percussion and redolent bass set the course for this charming journey. Emerging chord stabs and rising atmosphere soon engulf the groove, saturating your senses in the process, before a heavenly break furthers its emotive lean onwards to a spine-tingling finale. 

Completing the release and providing the third and final interpretation of ‘The Days’ is Jean Caillou who returns for his second appearance. Hailing from Zurich, the Swiss artist first appeared on the Belgian imprint in November of last year with a gorgeous remix of Joe Miller’s ‘The Last of the Great Days’. Renowned for his deep, romantic storyboards, Jean has also showcased his music on Magician On Duty, Sag & Tre and Underyourskin Records. Often splitting time between deep house and electronica, the Swiss artist opts for the latter here with a reflective take on ‘The Days’. Fresh and emotive in equal measure, it’s a collage of exotic percussion, sprawling vocal gates and dusty electronics which captivate across the nine-minute journey. Soulful plucks and luminous tones expand the musical narrative, gently washing over the framework and ultimately closing the release out on a heartfelt note. A gorgeous remix from Jean, capping off a deep and dreamy remix edition for Bigasti & Balad’s ‘The Days’.

Bigasti & Balad - The Days (Jean Caillou Remix) [Sound Avenue]

Perhaps part of the name of his project could best describe what sound this young Tunisian producer opted for. We have already repeated, and we will say again, to be different, newer, fresher, more innovative today is far more difficult. This producer refutes these claims because his music is very different and a real refreshment for the deep house scene. Different Ray is making a debut release for RYNTH called “Deep Lake”! The original is enhanced by remixes of great performers such as Part S and Charlie V!
