In 1984, techno-rock band Spot The Dog, hailing from Lodi, CA, recorded "Adventures In Anxiety". Originally, the music was written by Kit Watson and Gary Bell, and was played live by their electronic duo Eye5. Lyrics were added by Patrick O'Shaughnessy when Eye5 was absorbed into the fallout from the explosion of Digits. Additional keyboards were provided by John Reed. Duncan Atkinson gave the song its guitar. A music video was produced for the song, and that video made it onto MTV's Basement Tapes competition in 1985, where it was resoundingly beaten. Performed, produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by the original songwriter Kit Watson. Aside from voice, no analog instrumentation was used. It's all synths.

This  track is a cover version of Peter Godwin's 1982 cult synth classic 'Images of Heaven' that we recorded in late 2007 with the intention of releasing and playing live. It's a demo version and was never fully completed unfortunately. There is a sonic surprise at the end which is typical 'Tenek humour' according to Geoff. We used to like to do things like that for a bit of fun!

The synthpunk persona of multidisciplinary creative studio Paths and Angles. What we have here is a mish-mash of old and new; fresh attempts and stale goodies; mostly original, with a smattering of covers. Much of this has not been mastered properly, and most of it was executed in "toy software". Now that I have the right gear for the job, a self-titled album is in the works. Don't hold your breath, though. I'm the Tom Scholz of synthpunk. It's not ever perfect until it's perfect. I have also decided not to post here any versions of any of the songs going onto the album. When the album releases, that's when all the songs will be available.
