Next out of the gate at NoExcuse Limited comes a 3 track EP titled 'Malattia' from young Italian talent, Francesco Parente. This powerfully underground release also features a remix from fellow Italian producer Aguilar and is oozing with the ethos of our Limited imprint from start to finish.

The title track 'Malattia' is a thumping 125bpm roller, it features progressive layers of percussion which build continuously throughout the track and are carried well by a rumbling bassline. Throw in some suspense-inspiring melodic elements and mysterious far-eastern vocals and you have one alarmingly heavy finished article.

Following the lead track is a remix from Aguilar (Italy). His re-take of the original is slower in pace and leans more towards the darker end of the scale, a dustier, grittier adaptation that bears the same power but a whole new personality. One for the after-hours sets... think vinyl crackle, minimal flavours and primal rhythm.

Finishing off the package is 'Gimmie That', another upbeat tech stomper with a huge low-frequency belly on it. Francesco has again perfectly captured the type of vibes that we love on the label with loads of shuffled groove, powerful, tonal sub-bass and a captivating vocal element.

Amsterdam based Luuk van Dijk is welcomed into the Hot Creations fold this July with his heavy-hitting Parallax E.P. Chicago production wizard DJ Skull is also on board to rework the B-side.

Title track Parallax is set to cause a serious stir at festivals and clubs alike this summer. The smattering of high-hats elevate the track as the space-like beeps and blips add another facet. On the flip, Dimension applies an ominous vocal stab as the bass rumbles — perfect for low ceiling basement raves. On the remix, DJ Skull adds a touch of Chicago class via some softer vocals, dubby chords and a pounding bass. At the tender age of 22, Luuk van Dijk has been signed to acclaimed labels such as VIVa Music, Roush, Food Music, Sanity and Lost Records. Championed by stalwarts such as Steve Lawler and Eats Everything, he has taken his sound to some of the world’s most prestigious events.

Ron Maney aka DJ Skull became known for being one of the first DJs to play the new sound coming out of Chicago, honing his craft at the infamous Music Box and Power Plant. Releasing records since the early 90s, he later launched his own labels Hypnotic Tones and Wax Candy Records. Recent releases have appeared on Chiwax, Domina Trxxx and Mentha Records.

Rising star Ben Sterling has already garnered huge support from label co-founder Jamie Jones. Moving into 2019, the talented youngster makes his debut on Hot Creations, delivering three punchy, high-octane tracks this February.

The EP kicks of with Surrender - a track that shows no mercy with its heavy drums, hedonistic vocal hooks and a rolling groove. On title track The Energy, Sterling layers breathy vocals over a driving bass, perfect for those 3am losing your mind moments. EP closer, Apathetic Behaviour, is pure unadulterated after-hours fodder.

One of the original residents of Josh Butler’s Origins series, Ben Sterling has had tracks signed to Butler’s label of the same name where he joined greats such as Kerri Chandler, Groove Armada and Huxley. Last year saw the young DJ play at the infamous Warehouse Project alongside KiNK, Dennis Cruz, Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and Marquis Hawkes. He’s performed at some of dance music’s leading events including Paradise, Elrow and Kaluki. In 2019, Sterling shows no sign of slowing down with events already locked in for Printworks, Hideout and Snowbombing.

doing a release from him on my labels.
The time has come with this incredible “Vertigo” release.
Needless to say that I’ve been a fan of Kevin’s sound for years and supporting almost
every single release he’s had.
So I am obviously super happy to finally land his excellent music on NM2.
I feel we’ve put together a release so strong that it sets the bar extremely high for what’s
to come on NM2 in the future.
Kevin’s flair for making amazing melodies and soundscapes mixed with spot on
arrangements and in depth productions is a true pleasure for your ears.
Even when writing these words I slowly drift away and dive into the music with a smile on
my face.
To top it all we also got a superb remix from Marco Faraone who has been among my
favorite techno producers for years as well and one I have been wanting to release music
by for some time. His remix makes “vertigo” a more hard hitting and techno driven
banger.
