There was impressive scenery on the second floor on the last day of the festival. The time for Sunju Hargun, who was to take the stage with two different sets, dancing and listening, to heal the bodies of the dancers who had been dancing so long in the rain. Deep dub echoes, Layered drones, and healing sounds echoed through the room, melting listeners' consciousness and guiding them into a deep meditative state.

After belonging to the Move and Skyzoo collectives in the mid-90s, in 2000 he became part of the team of residents of Le Club and the organization of the Observatori Festival. In 2010 he starts Black Label, a monthly party at Miniclub, where for 5 years he made known his more House side. After this, it is worth mentioning his residence in Jerusalem Club, Caravaca (Proper Club) and the organization and residence of the Taiga parties in Madrid, where he bet on contemporary techno. At the moment he is still interested in the most current musical currents of electronic music, from ambient to techno, through electro, halftime and D&B. Always betting on vinyl as a format and deep productions that keep the dub as a common denominator.

Monochrome presents, 𝖍𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝓥 : Caldera, Nummer Music.

This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno, Drum & Bass and Tribe.

Artist biography :
Since 2012, Caldera has been creating a unique and personal blend of Techno and Bass music with a love for detail and a dedicated sound design that immerses listeners into imaginary worlds.
His experiments with drums and rhythms result in grooves that represent a new and fresh way of looking at dance music while exploring a deeper side of it and leaving bpm restrictions behind.
Caldera's creations have found a home on labels such as Berlin's Nummer Music, Chicago's Kimochi Sound and Bristol's Pressure Dome while his Loop LF moniker has previously been a mainstay on London based Well Street Records.

“For this mix I wanted to take a step back and create a very slow journey that only picks up the pace ever so slightly. It ended up being a symbolisation of this winter that is now slowly transitioning into spring with the first sunrays and warmth opening us all up for a new beginning. ”

On April 22nd, Mostra took over Espacio Perpendicular for a few hours.

Mostra is an independent, small-scale festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born four years ago to nurture the Barcelona scene. Mostra is local, inclusive, and sustainable. An independent festival made in Barcelona for Barcelonans, but with international vision and reach.

The event, which took place during the day, featured performances by Mattikk, Emilia Grima, Pillen, Doozer, Haara, and F-on.

Ahead of the work we are doing with Detroit veteran Craig Gonzalez this year, here is a mix he’s done exploring new rhythms and soundscapes. We thought it would be prudent to share a mix of one of his many fresh perspectives, where he explores something we at IT find very compelling — new juxtapositions of polyrhythms and drum and bass within a deeply hypnotic techno context. 

"I’ve really been enjoying exploring the sonic space between techno and drum and bass. What excites me about this fusion is how it challenges both myself and fans of these genres, as it often defies the expectations of each. The introduction of polyrhythms takes it even further, pushing the boundaries and making the music feel truly genre-agnostic. In this space, the emphasis shifts away from traditional structures, focusing more on rhythm and context than on genre conventions.

This mix is a studio recording rather than a live set from an IT event because I feel that this style of music requires a more intentional approach to the context of an event. It hasn’t quite aligned with the atmosphere of my time slots—at least, not for now." — Craig Gonzalez @craig-gonzalez

For our March introspective radio show, we had the pleasure of welcoming an old friend of ours, Casper Clark aka Volte-Face to take you through two hours of ambient & downtempo selections from his sizeable collection of music for curious ears 💫

As expected, things got pretty interesting on air at Netil Radio that Thursday afternoon and we are so happy to finally be sharing the recording of the show with you today. It’s a smooth voyage departing from the misty ports of spacious drones and sailing patiently into the deep ocean waters of progressive half time and dusty alternative experiments ⛵️

Volte-Face, a moniker of BleeD promoter/label-head Casper Clark, was a fixture on the European techno scene from 2014-2019, with his own productions (also as Rote alongside Daniel Avery) appearing on labels such as Semantica, Phorma and Non-Series His BleeD imprint also released material from the likes of Wata Igarashi, DJ Nobu, Refracted and Svreca, and he played regularly for the likes of Berghain, fabric, Tresor and Khidi . After an enforced hiatus , he's started to rear his head again with a recent mix for Oslated and a forthcoming ambient session for Deep Breakfast Series. He's also been hosting his own Through The Wreckage ambient mixtape series on Soundcloud, which is updated regularly.

Berlin’s Refracted has been a name dear to us for some time, having contributed a remix to our inaugural label release nearly six years ago. The Paral·lel co-curator and resident has cultivated a devoted following over the years for his uncompromising vision developed through a remarkable catalog of releases for label such as Silent Season, Bitta, Sublunar and his own Mind Express. For our series Refracted contributes a mix true to his signature style, crystalline and patiently layered with unwavering intent, drawing across decades and genres to invite us into a divine state of mind. Contributing our latest episode is London’s ANNX, a regular figure within the city’s cutting-edge undercurrent whose many contributions include co-curation of the Whomp, Perspectives, and once-shrouded Magick events, and a residency at the beloved Above Below festival. Anna’s tireless dedication to the scene goes hand-in-hand with her unmistakable talent behind the decks, as evidenced by an impressive repertoire of mixes and set recordings, and which I was fortunate enough to witness first-hand last summer in the Chilterns. Here Anna demonstrates her well-honed craft over the course of two meticulously plotted hours, diving seamlessly into manifold forms of deep, heavy psychedelia before emerging in a wave of euphoric bliss. Over the years Timnah has established a reputation for expansive and visionary selections without equal, lending her voice to the beloved Amentia and A Walking Contradiction collectives and leading audiences into captivating unknowns worldwide. Recorded live in the French countryside at the peak of summer, Timnah’s set smolders with delicate tension, lacing outward like tendrils upon shattering glass.
