Monochrome presents, 𝖍𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖑𝖑𝖑 : Diapasøn, CWR/Résilience.

This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Diapasøn became interested in music and its instrumental practice at an early age. Since 2012, he has devoted himself fully to electronic music, a way for him to express his passion for current influences. In 2017, he created the Lyon-based label CWR, where he manages the artistic direction and programming. In love with vinyl, his sound universe swims between ambient and psychedelic techno.

The Paris based artist dc11 got into making music via modular synthesisers and to this day they are his tool of choice in the studio as well as in clubs. Gravitating towards the loopy side of techno, his live sets always leave a big part to improvisation. Finding ways to slightly shift loops and grooves hasn’t lost its appeal yet.

Diapasøn, a passionate and versatile artist, has shown a deep interest in music and playing instruments of all kinds since a young age. It was in 2012 that he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, a means for him to fully express his passion for contemporary influences.

In 2015, he founded Cosmic Wave, initially as a collective, quickly evolving into a label which he has co-managed since 2017. A lover of vinyl, he crafts a unique sonic universe, navigating between ambient and psychedelic techno. His captivating music creates soundscapes filled with emotion and entrancing textures.

Since his debut on stage, Diapasøn has had the opportunity to play alongside many artists such as Claudio PRC, Christian Wünsch, Deniro, Benjamin Damage, Skudge, Blazej Malinowski, Polygonia, Lenson, and many others. All these performances have inspired him and contributed to shaping his artistic identity.

Worg is an electronic music producer, sound designer and live performer based in Rome.
At the end of the Anno Urbis MMXVIII he founds and creates his own label "Lykos Records".
He explores sounds that range from experimental techno through industrial approaching deep techno.
Captivating textures, persistent rhythm and metallic discordance merge both live and during studio production.
Noise, smooth pads, distortions, drones and slight and hypnotic melodies are the characteristic elements of his music, giving particular attention to search both complex and distinct sonorities.
These heterogeneous elements give life to a deep sound enveloped in a dark gloomy haze.
His attempt is to accompany the audience in a voyage through oniric and spectral soundscapes.
Dystopian places and fantasies located in imaginative habitats, result in Worg's vision.
He graduated in Electronic Music Composition, at Saint Louis College of Music in Rome.
Worg released his music on labels such as Concrete Records, Trivmvirate, Absolute Records,
Mitten Records, Enslavement, Pyteca, Ordinamento Selettivo and Photon.

Oisel is a young artist from Italy. He introduces abstracted, plangent and marked sonorities, researching the purity of each sound;  he blends modern and old-school elements, respecting the past and proceeding to the future, into a dynamic evolution of his musical identity. He is co-founder of Evod Music; besides the releases on his label, he released also on Polegroup, Warm Up, Arsenik and Singular Records. During April 2017 he made his debut at Tresor (Berlin), also he played at Moog Club (Barcelona), Utopia Club (Madrid).

Well, where do we start…. It all began on a warm Saturday in the pre-pyranese mountains at Paral.lel festival. We found our perfect chill out spot and were settling into a cold beer while our fellow campers slowly appeared from their tents to start a new day of music and connection. We happily surrendered to the beautiful surroundings and let the music carry us away… and then came MouseDown, an artist we hadn’t heard of before, but one we certainly wouldn’t forget in a hurry.

For the next three hours, mouseDown took us on a perfect, slowly evolving journey, creating a stunning, electric atmosphere that left us in a state of wonder and gratitude. Storytelling at its finest!

We immediately reached out to connect and express our appreciation, inviting mouseDown to be part of On the 5th Day’s podcast series in honour of that memory and moment in time, and to bring you a slice of the inspiration. mouseDown went onto record a very special vinyl only, 2.5 hour mix just for On the 5th Day, and here it is.

Here is an artist working absolute magic with heart, soul and humility, sweeping us music lovers off of our feet in the process! When he’s not DJ’ing, he’s producing under the alias, ABSIS... one to watch!

Founder of Lowless Records and Hadal Resonance, Sophian is one of the emerging actors in the French Deep Techno scene.

His curation on his projects offered him a residency at one of the main electronic clubs in Lille - Le Baron - where he had the opportunity to develop his style and skills through several all night long sessions. 
He also had the opportunity to share the decks with some great artists such as Roman Poncet.

His style is a mix between Groove and Hypnosis playing with deep atmospheres and sharp synths.

As a producer he has released deep house and ambient with is ex alias Kobarey, and decided in 2019 to use his real name as an artist.

Lowless Records 와  Hadal Resonance 의 창시자인 Sophian 은 프랑스 딥 테크노 씬에서 성장하며 활발하게 활동하고 있다.

그의 프로젝트에 대한 큐레이션은 Lille 의 주요 전자 클럽 중 하나인 Le Baron 에서 그에게 레지던트를 제의받는다. 그곳에서 그는 몇 번의 올 나잇 롱 세션을 통해 스타일과 테크닉을 개발할 기회를 얻었다.
그는 또한 Roman Poncet 과 같은 위대한 예술가들과 함께 Deck 에서 플레이할 기회를 가졌다.

Releases after releases, Lowless has established a name in the deep techno scene. Promoting a hypnotic and atmospheric techno, dub infused : the label is getting more and more attention all around he world and is receiving a lot of support from the media like OrbMag or Monument.
Releasing Digital and Vinyl, the Parisian crew made the choice to give a chance to some promising artists who share value and identity : Atomic Moog, Dycide, MTRL, Daniel[i] or OWL to name some.
