Ghetto-Dubsters, Bootleg Rascal, rack a new tune into their boombox, it's anothery with a stack of rhythmic oomph. The band once again tap their ghetto side, and this time B-Raz pump out grooves that echo old school Dre and keeps their hybrid pop/dubaletic aesthetic strong. The song will also be included on their debut album ( Asleep In The Machine).

‘Holding On’ brings up a track that was a standout in the live set for the last tour - a song that began as a minimal swirl of sonic synths on an old Casio. A beat making generation or two later and the song now has pulsating synths, a hip-hop beat, Q-Dome’s honey-dipped vocals, and a touch of L.A. swag.
‘Holding On’ follows the heels of Bootleg Rascal’s unique ghetto-dub singles, Oh I Know and Head In The Clouds. After a recent trip to the L.A., (tapping into their current spiritual home), the band have been working up a number tunes full of bolt-on melodies and hectic hybrid beats. A sound that has been the inspiration for their upcoming album, Asleep In The Machine, to be released November 2015.

Following on from their last sellout national tour, Bootleg Rascal are out and currently on tour, banging into live shape their new brewed tunes. Their reputation for shows that drip like a bacon and caramel waffle has expanded and this tour has already sold out gigs in Brisbane (The Bearded Lady) and Sydney (Newtown Social). As well, the band have just been added to a couple of festivals come this Spring/Summer to turn the heat up. Including Originals Music Festival (Sunshine Coast), Festival Of The Sun (Port Macquarie) and Lost Paradise (Glenworth Valley) at the end of year.
