Manex Manzarraga Bergara (MNX) es un joven DJ de 18 años, originario de Ondarroa, cuya pasión por la música electrónica comenzó hace poco más de un año. Su interés inicial lo llevó a explorar diferentes géneros asistiendo a eventos como Moby Dick, donde empezó a conectar con la escena local.

A lo largo de este tiempo, ha ido refinando su estilo gracias a la influencia de festivales como Kristikal Sounds, Visions, Alternative Division y Holz und Blech, que le han permitido sumergirse en distintas vertientes de la música electrónica. Aunque sus inicios fueron con sonidos melódicos, su trayectoria lo ha llevado a profundizar en géneros como el electro y el acid, consolidando un enfoque más definido y personal.

Manex dio sus primeros pasos como DJ en un espacio compartido con su grupo de amigos, donde, gracias al apoyo de Ekain y el uso de un Xone y dos XDJ 700, realizó sus primeras mezclas. Este entorno le permitió desarrollar sus habilidades y perfeccionar su técnica.

Actualmente, su trabajo lo ha llevado a actuar en eventos de relevancia como Badis, Sokoa, Toldope (Markina), Visions de Jon Larrañaga y nuevamente en Moby Dick, consolidándose como una joven promesa dentro de la escena electrónica local.

Breda born DJ and producer Mattisou, born in 2000, started playing the guitar age 11. Shortly after, he began producing electronic music and gained experience over the years in various genres. Mattisou developed his passion for deep house when fellow DJ/producer and former classmate Dani Pana introduced him to the underground house scene. They still keep in touch on a regular basis to exchange their knowledge about music.

Funky electronic sounds combined with mellow synths on top of grooving drums and some guitar-inspired melodies form the base of his style.

His music didn’t stay unnoticed, which in 2020 resulted in his debut EP called ‘Glow In The Dark’ on Airtime Records.

SURGE is a record label and party series, founded in 2019. Born out of an affinity for South American flavour and early 2000’s UK groove, the label is a hotbed for both emerging & established producers to showcase their sound. SURGE is an imprint built with the dancefloor in mind, putting out regular releases which create standout memories for our dancers.

Hailing from the city of Liverpool: known for it’s bold characters, cultural reverence and *slightly successful musicians, SURGE was created to stand out. Defined as ‘a sudden powerful movement,’ the name SURGE was chosen to reflect our ethos and goals.
