M-zine returns to Sofa Sound Bristol with a very special project - his debut album, 'Know When You're Ready'.

It's a milestone moment for an artist whose output has matured, marinated and developed for over a decade to a natural pinaccle. 

M-zine represents everything we love at Sofa Sound and the album is layered with warm textures and organic tones to form a rich body of work with great depth that rewards both your patience and your sound system.

With influences rooted in dub, techno, funk and soul, M-zine embraces the lost art of simplicity and is focused on getting the most out of just 4 or 5 core elements so everything works together nicely in the mix. 

Written mostly during covid; clubs were closed, but M-zine had his rig at home and used the isolation to craft his own little soundscape; something pure and introspective, nice and simple. 

Its subtle, meditative and Sofa Sound through and through - a warm collection of tracks for you to appreciate.

‘Garrat Lane’ is an ode to this artists ends. Rolling, deep and ethereal with nods to techno and dub like we’ve come to expect from this artist. This is the perfect soundtrack to zone out to whilst navigating through a typically crazy night in South London. 

‘Cling’ pulls you back to your senses with snappy rolling beats and a killer, grimey bassline to move any hardened junglist. Time to get your screwface on. After all this South London affair!

Today marks another artist debut on Strictly, Australian producer Ape Suit brings forth his Avalanche EP. 

Some serious blends between half time and techy elements come together perfectly to form that typical signature sound we keep hearing back in Ape Suit's productions. 

These tracks will have you on edge until the moment all elements collapse into the full, expertly constructed grooves.

As a bonus we have the lovely missledz featured as a bonus with her take on the track "Rutting" off of the Avalanche EP.
