Late February will see Syncrophone sub-label Phonogramme release Chasindub’s ‘Still Here’ EP, comprising four original from the Romanian artist.
Dan Gheorge aka Chasindub has been steadily carving his own raw and atmospheric style of house and techno for the past eight years with the Lisière Collectif and alone, releasing on labels such as Mike Grant’s legendary Moods & Grooves, Muted Noise and of course Phonogramme,
sub-label of the Parisian, Syncrophone record label, store and distribution company, where he returns to here for a solo outing.
Up first on the package is title-track ‘Still Here’ an off-kilter slice of ethereal fuelled by soaring pads, rounded low-end drones and crunchy broken percussion, followed by ‘Yellowstrate’ which retains a similarly smooth and atmospheric feel with soft, airy pads fluttering around bumpy breaks, vocal stutters and hooky synth blips.
‘She Is’ opens the flip side and lays focus on swirling dub echoes, electro tinged bass leads and rolling drums before ‘Monza’ rounds off the package with an acidic feel, fusing 303 bass tones with bumpy percussion and tension building atmospherics to create a mesmerizing, hypnotic workout.

We’re very excited to present to you this October a collaborative EP from San Proper, Hreno and The Mole, plus Tom Trago joining the crew on title-track ‘Friendly Tears’.

Here we see San Proper and The Mole make a welcome return to the imprint following solo EP’s, this time they join forces with Hreno for a three track EP from the powerhouse trio.

Leading on the package is ‘Friendly Tears’ which features yet another leading figure in the house scene, Dekmantel regular Tom Trago, as you’d expect from such an impressive array of artists we’re treated so soul drenched house driven by swinging organic drums, infectious funk licks and hooky synth lines before the ‘Chunkless Mix’ strips things back a little, laying focus solely on the 80’s tinged synth work, delayed vocal murmurs and minimalistic percussion.

‘On The Floor’ then rounds out the package, retaining a similar aesthetic with choppy guitar melodies, penetrating bass stabs, crunchy rhythms and resonant arpeggio synths ebbing and flowing dynamically throughout.
