Through a clap-on/clap-off global pandemic, the liminal mindscape inherent during a paradigm shift, and lots and lots of absurd weather, French Press Lounge dips below the equator to link up with young Brazilian producer André Pádua aka dedeco.

Many moons ago I was sent a rather nice email along with some rather nice tunes by a rather nice Brazilian fella. Instantly dedeco's music connected with me: a classic New York-meets-French house sensibility tied together with tape warmth, melancholy melodies, and N64 soundfonts. Imagine if Pete Heller's Big Love grew up playing Bomberman Hero and Snowboard Kids while listening to Daft Punk and this would likely be the debut record of such an amalgamation. Full-on 64-bit pumped-up joy tracks! Its a pleasure to finally share these tunes :-)

Notes:

I tried to be as close to the original as possible, but at the same time I chose tracks that have a very similar tone.

Some samples may sound very similar or very close to the original. This is purely coincidental, as there are original samples in my own "sample" library that may have appeared in the original, but are from another source.

I definitely did not use samples directly from the original tracks!
