These people are driving me nuts.

What is it with these people?

These people who are so desperate to be seen to be heard, and be seen to be part of the herd, that they stand up and say something.

They then apologise for having said it, when, out of a global population of 8bn, someone, like, maybe, I dunno, Quentin from Bishop's Itchington who breeds rare goats, and has an embarrassing skin problem and no friends declares himself offended by the “something” and because his goats look sad and a bit grubby and have floppy ears, twenty other people out of the 8bn declare themselves to be offended too.

Cue apology and retraction.

“These people” have no use or value in society and need to be removed from the gene pool immediately by the empowerment of balanced observers such as me.

For crying out loud.

You do get some nice surprises in this SC audiosphere of ours.

Imagine my delight when out of the blue Paco dropped me a note saying he'd composed some music and wondered if I might have a bash at some lyrics to match.  Of course, I jumped at the chance.

It transpired that his composition wasn't about anything in particular, rather, it was just one of those pieces that sort of emerge from a theme somewhere and grow into something very worthwhile but difficult to "place".  However, in our discussions about possible development ideas, I couldn't help but notice Paco's deep affection for his home city of Seville, and there’s only ever one outcome when England meets Seville…. 

Thank you so much, Paco, for the invitation to make some musical marmalade -  it was a hoot “jamming” with you!

Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes' Night takes place on November 5th each year in Great Britain with bonfires and firework displays. It recalls the Gunpowder Plot of 1605; an attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Guy Fawkes was captured before he could light the fuse to 36 barrels of gunpowder. Back in the day, children would make a scarecrow-like effigy of Guy Fawkes to be thrown on the communal bonfire during the 'celebrations'. In the run up to the evening they would ask for "a penny for the guy" to spend on sparklers, sweets or other treats.

With Mr Guy Fawkes evil intentions, he certainly got all of our attention,

The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system of the Sun and the objects that orbit it. It formed 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud.  The four inner system planets—Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars—are terrestrial planets, being composed primarily of rock and metal. The four giant planets of the outer system are substantially larger and more massive than the terrestrials. The two largest, Jupiter and Saturn, are gas giants, being composed mainly of hydrogen and helium; the next two, Uranus and Neptune, are ice giants, being composed mostly of volatile substances.  The orbits of the planets are ellipses with the Sun at one focus, though all except Mercury are very nearly circular. The orbits of the planets are all more or less in the same plane, called the ecliptic and defined by the plane of the Earth's orbit. The Annals of the Four Masters states that after he had plundered Connaught and Meath and burned Clonmacnoise that he was taken prisoner by Maelseachlainn, son of Maelruainaidh and afterwards drowned in Loch-Uair.
Local oral tradition states that Turgesius was rolled down The Captains Hill in a barrell into the waters of Loug Owel.
