The latest release on Tobago Tracks sees Berlin-based producer
Alobhe deliver four blistering cuts of forward thinking club
music.

State Space encapsulates the paranoia and angst felt in an
increasingly polarised world, typified by feelings of helplessness.
The EP spans four sonically diverse pieces, opening with ‘State
Space Conversion’, which introduces Alobhe’s visceral and direct
aesthetic.

While ostensibly lo-fi, tracks such as ‘Numb’ and ‘Reload’ contain
elements of progressive experimentation that challenge the
perception of conventional lo-fi hardware based club music.
Numb’s nauseating warped sample over a solemn distorted
electric guitar dirge epitomises the lack of agency felt whilst
voyeuristically consuming the spectacle of the modern world.
These themes are continued in ‘Reload’, where out of sync drums
and lead loosely give the track shape, implode briefly, and then
reassert themselves, further adding to this sense of unease.
With an enigmatic online presence and little to go by outside of
her moniker, Alobhe has created a jarring fusion of electro, black
metal, techno and sample based experimentation.

London-based label Byrd Out welcomes one more time Dutch producer Philou Louzolo with two new tracks diluted with three ace mix remixes from Kenyan producer Slikback, Iranian musician Pouya Ehsaei and Britishman himself Mitch Green AKA Native Cruise.
Our choice comes from the mysterious Slikback D'Njau, who takes the “Sharingan” and begins as a doomed piece of the industrial techno, but gradually turns into an energetic and exciting whole system of breakbeat masterpiece.
The 12" record is limited to 500 copies and will be released on September 13th.

We're releasing two tracks today to raise money for bail funds in aid of the protestors fighting police brutality and systemic racism in the wake of the murder of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department and to add our voice to the call for an end to the racist subjugation and brutalisation of black people in the US and across the world. 

We will also be donating to the Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI) an independent platform for asylum seekers that seeks to end the inhumane system of Direct Provision in Ireland and 'seeks justice, freedom and dignity for all asylum seekers.

The tracks will be available from today however we would encourage people to wait until Friday the 5th of June to purchase as this will coincide with Bandcamp waiving their revenue fees.

100% of all money made on the sales of this single will go towards the causes mentioned above

‘The album was written while researching and reading about the role that the US played in installing dictators in central and south America. The harsh and industrial sounds I used as a way to talk about what happens when the harsh reality of neo-liberalism takes over a country that could do very well without it.

I was reading and watching documentaries about Haiti and Cuba and trying to imagine what those countries would be without any western influence.

three tracks that lament in awareness of
the dual nature within,  

To reify ego through intense self scrutiny bears new life of the self one divided across domains. 
The identity and the identifier face each other. To spawn and destroy a vessel for sins, externalising the ego as another entity and then killing it.

Like observing the life and death of atomic particles, sound waves throw themselves into ears with violent self destruction that pulls on heartstrings. 

Dirgelike drones absorb noise dampness with massive inertia. Silver Blade chronicles the destruction of the self, glossy metals and heavy bass nestle chants of chaotic self aggrandisement, preparing the target for assassination.

Bringing awareness to the dual force within us all and then allowing it to die. 

The identity and the identifier face each other in Shattered Mirror. ‘You see yourself from the inside out’ pieces of glass embedded into the infrastructure of the psyche. Process of illumination of flesh carving the details of our sins, subconscious merging into consciousness shattering old patterns into dancing shards.

The ultimate conclusion comes with Deceiver. The immune response flushes negativity out with intense distorted polyrhythms echoing through the body. Pulsing to purge the self, veiled screams etch deeper the void outside the two halves. When there is ego death what is left?
