Russian innovator RLGN has a rough and ready techno sound that has come on Boysnoize Records, Private Persons and Don't Recordings. He is part of the experimental wave of post-Soviet artists mixing up scruffy basement techno with acid-laced modern electronics. Here he works solo on two tracks as well as with frequent collaborator Locked Club - a fellow Russian electronic punk, DUMMFÖUND - a Middle Eastern melody master who does everything from disco edits to house, breaks and techno, and Stelmakh - a musician, pianist and composer from Belarus.

The solo cut 'Olonkho' opens up with heavily filtered and guttural vocalisations looped over bristling breakbeats. It's a fizzing, caustic cut with snappy kicks and explosive hits that will blow up any dance floor. RLGN & Locked Club then join forces for 'Betrunkener Hund' which is a grizzly and frosty mid-tempo techno cut. The synths are twisted, the mood dystopian and the atmosphere edgy.

RLGN & DUMMFÖUND's 'Mahaut' spins out on more busted bass and visceral drum programming with Middle Eastern vocal wails adding a sense of tension to the machine madness. RLGN & Stelmakh's 'Thriller' is a distorted and brain-frying mix of rusty synths and yelling vocals over urgent, broken techno drums and blizzard-like pads. RLGN shuts down the EP with the second solo track 'Rain In Kyoto', a punchy electro-techno workout with busy synth modulations, lush bell melodies and turbocharged basslines.

These are five fierce and formidable techno fusions that take no prisoners. They are to be released on a special Bandcamp Friday, alongside a new Lone Romantic merchandise line.

PREMIERE: RLGN - Olonkho [Lone Romantic]

3 года назад я неделю путешествовал по Республике Алтай, проехав удивительной красоты трассу Чуйский Тракт от Горно-Алтайска почти до самой Монголии и обратно. В это приключение я взял с собой камеру и снял почти целый клип из люка машины и в самых разных локациях. Именно вчера у меня дошли руки сделать монтаж для рилса на трек "GENERATORS 000". Слова этой композиции - это две строфы, которые я подрезал у одного некогда любимого мной музыканта и поэта и чтобы это не выглядело как наглое воровство - почти в каждой строчке я изменил одно или несколько слов. На этом фоне выпустить эту версию трека официально у меня не получится, но послушать и скачать его вы можете у меня в Саундклауде и в ТГ-канале! В начале следующего года трек выйдет на всех площадках с другим текстом и в нескольких версиях от моих друзей и коллег. Я знаю, что многие ждали его очень давно, с Новым Годом и до встречи! 🤝

We are back with another single from Beijing-based bass music producer Negative808.

About the track: 

Jacking swing is an improvisation using hardware synthesizer based originally on a Techno frame.  Further experimenting at a tempo of 140 bpm while adding Bass music elements to the created rhythm, such a damn swing tune came out, which brings you straight back to the old good rave time. 

About Negative808:

Negative808 is a Beijing bass producer who hails from the southern Chinese province of Fujian. He has had several singles released on the Beijing based electronic label Ran Music. Since living in the capital he has integrated various upbeat electronic dance styles into his work; such as Drum & Bass, Grime, Footwork and Juke. On many occasions he has taken part in events thrown by one of China’s most respected Bass DJ collectives, Syndicate and the S!LK Crew. 

In addition to being an avant-garde creator, Negative808 is also a behind the scenes promoter and supporter of the Chinese electronic music community. Along with fellow producer, EZZZ, he is a founding member of the online electronic music media platform, FREQ. Negative808 is well known to the young electronic musicians in China as a regular contributor to the music technology review platform Midifan. Aside from being a producer, Negative808 is also an active DJ in the Beijing underground scene. He consistently presents workshops on Ableton Live and electronic music production in conjunction with Floso x Ran Music.

Seven orbits is an audiovisual performance designed for immersive sensory experiences.

It plays with the senses through vibration, light and sound to induce potential altered states with an emphasis on the transcendental and animistic connection with the natural world and the divine as can be found in past and present rituals around the world.

The softwares used to create the experience communicate with each other so that the sound, played live on DAW, drive the real-time graphics as well as physical live elements; Further control of the experience is also achieved by using external physical interfaces;
