This song is a commentary on what life actually is. For me life is music and music is life. I name drop some of the different tabs you may see on a DAW during the song for example. I talk about girls, my life so far, religion and the state of the world. Mostly with subtle references rather than outright blatant mentions. I like the lyrics of my songs to intrigue people and make them think a little deeper about what i am actually talking about. This song is the first single from my upcoming EP- 19

Prophecy is one of my most lyrical songs and one i am very proud of. I intentionally made the beat quieter in this song so my vocals would be the focal point of the track allowing the audience to hear exactly what i'm saying. The chorus was a depiction of modern day society how most people see themselves as prophets and will do anything to become famous. Even if it means being a hypocrite. This song is the third single off my upcoming EP 19.

For Swivel i acquired the services of DDK who's an artist who I've been looking to work with for a while. So it made sense to finally get him on Swivel. I proved to myself i can be the bridge between the UK and the USA. I draw so much influence from American artists so its always a pleasure to work with them. The song sits on the same level as prophecy in terms of its lyrics and it took me the longest to write and find the perfect verse for. Its the fourth and final single from my upcoming EP 19

Having recruited a plethora of artists (including Spillage Village member Jurdan Bryant) to join him on this project, Svirgo19 is one to keep an eye on. His lyrical approach to this project is centred around his unique cadence and flow and his ability to captivate his audience with his storytelling and tone.

‘The Path To Paradise Begins In Hell’ is a reflection and narration on my life so far and just an incredibly small dose of what I have experienced; there’s still so many stories to tell…the album discusses love, drugs, social media, what it means to be a young adult in this 21st century, truth, lies, parties, religion and struggling to find meaning in things.”

‘The Path To Paradise Begins In Hell’ is the first project that sees him move away from his signature lo-fi sound we’ve become accustomed to. After nearly a year of not releasing any music, Svirgo19 introduces a vastly different, new soundscape inspired by the nuvo-wave of alternative black musicians including Saba, and Skepta. The album was entirely produced by Svirgo19 and engineered by close friend Haris ‘Apollo’ Shaikh.

“This album has been an experience to say the least, obviously being a young, solo & independent artist not from London comes with its challenges when you are trying to organize the creation of an album in your vision pretty much by yourself. To see it all come to fruition after all the planning and preparation I did before moving to London in September last year I feel so blessed to be around people who I met and became a part of this. It honestly makes me so happy and everything I’ve learnt and experienced throughout has changed me.”

Not allowing the troubling times he has experienced to hold him back, Svirgo19 has instead fashioned a sound unique to him with this debut record. With his aspirations to be recognised not only in the UK but all over the world he plans to continue his ascent to join the pantheon of international rap greats that inspired his childhood; his tireless energy, work-rate and drive were never going to allow him to settle for anything less.

The process for Running Round in Circles started with me recording myself freestyling over the beat. This song is about me constantly going back and forth with myself about life and all its issues which is why i reference drugs and religion in the second verse as there quite contrasting ideas. LEGACY

The writing process for "Fade Away" was incredibly fun so much so that i ended up writing 3 different versions of the song until i settled on the 3rd version which you are hearing now. This song is the start of where i plan to take my music down. I drew a lot of inspiration from Saba, Loyle Carner , Spillage Village and Jurdan Bryant. Fade Away

Sheffield's Svirgo19 started out rapping over beats he found online. After releasing his first few singles on SoundCloud in 2019 and 2020, he settled on his current moniker, based on his first & last name and the year he started releasing. 

Back to back EPs followed (Strangers In The Night & 19) in 2021 as well as performing at Birmingham’s MADE Festival in September of that year. Moving to London allowed him to harness his talent to record dozens of demos while still finding time to captivate his audience with his lyrics, storytelling, and mellow tone at various live shows in the capital.

His return was marked with the release of Something In The Water, which completed his 280-day hiatus since the release of his EP 19. Something In The Water was the first of three singles released from his debut album The Path To Paradise Begins In Hell.

This was followed up by his second single On & Off a month later. His third and final single off his album That’s Just How It Goes featuring Spillage Village's Jurdan Bryant was previewed on BBC Introducing Sheffield a few days before release. 

On November 18th, Svirgo19's debut album The Path To Paradise Begins In Hell was released. Get lost in alternative soundscapes and witty punchlines for fans of Tyler The Creator, Saba & Night Lovell.
