'in motion' by @bed_room is part of RISING TIDES 010, a collection of music dedicated to shining light on artists with less recognition than they deserve, each with under 500 followers on SoundCloud, so be sure you support the artists and show them some love.

RISING TIDES 010 will be released gradually throughout December of 2017. A new song from the album will be posted on the SVNSET WAVES SoundCloud every Wednesday and Saturday/Sunday until the final release of the album on December 30th.

It is said that our ancestors who tilled soils in the night utilized CHANT & SONG to maintain through slave labor. The colloquial antebellum slur was then coined “mooncricket”, to mimic their CHANTS & SONGS emerging from fields similar to restless crickets in the night. 

Surely CHANT & SONG is a technology used to maintain at the backdrop of state sanctioned horror. And those that employ this sacred technology are practitioners, not of survival, but of life’s truest rhythm… love. Therefore the Black predecessors who escape into the night and chant and sing alongside crickets in the marsh converge in this sacred knowing.

Chant and song fuels, feeds, defies, & defends.
