   •   Estructura: Dúo conversado + armonías suaves, con un puente donde ambos discuten quién “posee” a la chica.
   •   Particularidad: Fue el primer single de Thriller, lanzado en octubre de 1982.
   •   Recepción: Éxito inmediato, Top 5 en Billboard Hot 100. Aunque hoy es visto como la canción “menor” del disco, fue clave para calentar el lanzamiento.

   •   Relación MJ–McCartney: Jackson admiraba a Paul desde chico. La colaboración surgió tras conocerse en 1979.
   •   Grabación: En Los Ángeles, 1982. La química entre ambos fue excelente; McCartney elogió la melodía de MJ.
   •   Contexto del álbum: Thriller estaba pensado para expandir a Jackson globalmente. Quincy Jones insistió en lanzar este tema primero para mostrar su lado más accesible antes de llegar a “Billie Jean” y “Beat It”.
   •   Trasfondo curioso: Un año después, Michael compró parte del catálogo de canciones de los Beatles, algo que tensó su vínculo con Paul, aunque en el 82 eran muy cercanos.
   •   Impacto: Introdujo la narrativa de duetos “dialogados” en el pop moderno. A pesar de la crítica tibia, su valor histórico es enorme: fue el primer ladrillo del álbum más vendido de la historia.

Lizdek, Grant Jordan - Elysium

SVNSET WAVES is so excited to welcome back an old friend and introduce a new one! Dortmund-based producer eeph and vocalist Jani from Leipzig created their new 3-track EP, "Focus and Distraction" over the course of numerous phone calls, data transfers, and in-between-lockdown meetups in September 2020. 'Focus and Distraction' tells about loss, the desire to find healing amidst chaos, and the process of letting go of the past. It explores a transitional phase in which self-reflection and observation become necessary in order to move on. Eeph translates words into music, incorporating Jani's voice and instrumental recordings to create a musical space that offers both familiarity and novelty. 

Focus and Distraction is out on March 24th - so until then, enjoy Resolve!
