Architecture of Dreams – Architecture des Reves

A twilight narrative shaped for quiet rooms and long breaths. Strings lead with a graceful motif while oud and nylon guitar add delicate filigree. Percussion stays soft and human, guiding the listener through a sequence of scenes where stories unfold behind a veil. This is a companion to the Nights tradition, reimagined as an instrumental that leans on melody, space, and subtle lift.

[STORY ARC]

- Prologue: low strings and gentle guitar, a room lit by lamplight, the motif is whispered.
- The telling: the theme opens in phrases, oud answers in brief curls, the veil shifts and reveals.
- Flicker of risk: harmony deepens, the pulse grows, tension rises without breaking the calm.
- Wit and grace: textures part for a softer middle, the motif returns with patient strength.
- Dawn approach: color warms, cadence descends to rest, the final chord holds like a quiet promise.

[NOTES]

An instrumental reimagining that honors the spirit of Scheherazade without quoting known melodies. The aim is intimacy and poise, a story carried by tone and touch rather than words.

SVNSET WAVES is so excited to welcome back an old friend and introduce a new one! Dortmund-based producer eeph and vocalist Jani from Leipzig created their new 3-track EP, "Focus and Distraction" over the course of numerous phone calls, data transfers, and in-between-lockdown meetups in September 2020. 'Focus and Distraction' tells about loss, the desire to find healing amidst chaos, and the process of letting go of the past. It explores a transitional phase in which self-reflection and observation become necessary in order to move on. Eeph translates words into music, incorporating Jani's voice and instrumental recordings to create a musical space that offers both familiarity and novelty. 

Focus and Distraction is out on March 24th - so until then, enjoy Resolve!
