VALE returns to its origins with the Autism Awareness fundraiser compilation Awareness Vol. II. This Bandcamp driven charity release was available in full on World Autism Awareness Day. All proceeds were donated to the charity, Music for Autism. The artists and label are honored to dedicate our time and effort to the community and improving the lives of others.

Searching radio static frequencies set the scene for “Disorientation”, a hypnotic uk garage styled track with a delicious mid tempo techno melody that transports you directly to the heart of your favorite 8-bit dungeon crawler.  Echoey drums reverberate within a riveting rolling low end roar, accentuating melodious harmonies as we plod down mysterious corridors unsure of what hides around the next corner.

Cumulus Frisbee brought us yet another crazy track that blends electro, jazz, beats and breaks all in a homemade hot sauce. Indeed quite spicy, Hyperplex showcases the artist's visually rich and imaginative sound design. As usual the high tempo makes every detail go by just like watching a high speed train pass through a tunnel. The Jazz elements just add to the fantasy, giving the feeling of a very futuristic type of music. Almost like if the artist brought this song back from the future. As a contemporary visual artist, cumulus frisbee’s own cover artwork depicts the atmosphere of the music perfectly. This is another homerun for the artist combining his music and art in a intemporal piece.

While it's infusion can be felt throughout numerous contemporary catalogs, jazz as a vehicle for glitch music is often surprisingly sparse of the key inflections and rhythmic shakeups that dominate the better offerings of the genre. Taking a sample-collage approach with an emphasis on happy accidents, the multifaceted producer Ixsh has polished off the finishing touches on his latest collection of lush jazztronica, the Flora EP.

A brassy, fluid blend of neuro synthesis, staccato percussive play, and full blown runs through the pocketed corridors of jazz modes and motifs, Flora paints with wide brush strokes of technicolor hues, preserving the charred, tinny nostalgia of old stereophonic recordings with modern production and transient downbeats. The folding of layered harmonies and blaring horns into new, novel phrases and arrangements pairs graciously with the overt audio fragmentation and spurts of vicious low end, pushing past the natural glass ceilings of traditional instrumental compositions. If you're looking for a fresh and audacious take on the notes between the notes, Ixsh's Flora is sure to leave a permanent and sensuous impression.
