اغنية باب الشمس مستوحاة من رواية الياس خوري "باب الشمس" ومن قرية باب الشمس اللتي اقامها الفلسطينيون في اول 2013 عاسم الرواية
في احدى اجزاء الرواية يوصف الكاتب فرح البطلين يونس الاسدي ونهيلة الشواح, وفي الاغنية تامر يدمج بين القصة الخيالية والقرية الحقيقية, هو يوصف الفلسطينيين اللذي اقاموا باب الشمس كخطوة ضد الاستيطان, انهم اتوا بالواقع ليحتفلوا اخيرا" في زفاف ابطال الرواية- نهيلة الشواح ويونس الاسدي
Bab al Shams (Gate of the Sun) is based on the novel Gate of the Son by Elias Khoury and the village that was build by the Palestinians in 2013.
It is a combination between fiction and realism, when a group of Palestinians decided to stand against the settlements in 2013, they built a small village and called it Bab al Shams, Tamer wrote this song by saying that these Palestinian came to finally celebrate the wedding of the 2 fictional charectors from Elias Khoury's book (Nahila al Shawah and Yonnis al Asadi)
