On W.A.S.P.'s sophomore effort, 1985's The Last Command, the band hired Quiet Riot producer Spencer Proffer to man the boards, resulting in a slightly more accessible sound than their rugged self-titled debut. Although the album wasn't the massive commercial breakthrough the band had hoped for, it resulted in their second gold-certified release in a row as they became one of the more popular metal bands of the mid-'80s (touring heavily with the likes of Kiss, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden). Blackie Lawless' lyrics still relied heavily on sexual fantasies ("Sex Drive"), as well as tales of revenge ("Ballcrusher," "Jack Action"), and children of the street ("Running Wild in the Streets"). The album's two singles/videos proved popular on MTV's heavy metal-oriented shows -- the party-hearty "Blind in Texas" and "Wild Child," the latter a tale of a Harley-riding free spirit. [The 1998 CD reissue nearly doubled the original album's length, featuring a cover of Mountain's early-'70s hit "Mississippi Queen," the original B-side "Savage," and five live tracks recorded at England's Lyceum in October of 1984: "On Your Knees," "Hellion," "L.O.V.E. Machine," "Animal," and "I Wanna Be Somebody." - Review by Greg Prato

This is the first LIVE show i have ever put up soundcloud!! I chose the Psy Fi LIVE set as it was a fantastic festival with very special vibe and amazing crowd, for me the last blast of an awesome European summer season! A lot of people asked me about various tracks after my Saturday night set so i decided it was about time to get a LIVE show up!!

Hello, my name is Oliver and I'm going to tell you a story.

It's about a young girl...
She's only fifteen years old and has blonde hair and blue eyes.

She lives with her parents in New Jersey and they love her very much;
And one night she and her friends decided they were going to come to New York City.

"My Parents are away and I'll take their car, they will never know!
We're gonna have a great time!" she said.

And they drove over the George Washington Bridge and drove downtown to the Limelight.

"Wow, look at the line!"
"Don't worry I know the guy at the door, we'll get in."
And they did.

"So many people, look at that guy's shoes... they must be a mile high!"
And she turned around and bumped into a really cute guy.

They had a good time, they danced for hours and hours;
and she had a few drinks too!

"Hey", he said, "My roommate's not home and well,
I was wondering if you wanna, you know... come to my place.
I just don't wanna... I just don't wanna be alone." And she said, "Yes!".

So they got into a taxi and went to 3rd Avenue and 11th street to the NYU dorm rooms
And went upstairs and sat on his bed.

And he said, "Take this pill..." And she did.
And then she said, "What did you just give me?"

"Ecstasy." he said. And then...

He fucked her all night...

The party series we launched back in January featuring forest and darkpsy subgenres of psychedelic trance, Jiriki Frequiencies is now arriving at its third edition. We are also moving downtown where we will host Praheya of Banyan Records who is known for organizing the Amanita parties in Innsbruck. The renovated bar room of Corvin Club will of course also give stage to the artists of Liquid Monkeys Tribe, and you can also experience the live set of Anchu, a newly formed Hungarian collaboration project.

Praheya has been playing mainly night-trance but also day-trance and chill out dj-sets at parties and festivals for some years under the former dj-name “Cosmic Tune”. In June 2011 finally the actual artist name Praheya manifested. His concept behind music production is to create a space of frequencies which are natural and in harmony with the cosmos and therefore with the origin of every human being. In this space of natural frequencies the dancer tunes himself to his own natural state by moving his body to these sounds.
